- VTVulgar TechFeb 28, 20262.0I ordered 4 reconditioned Ryobi 18v batteries and one was doa. I could have just bought 3 brand new. Never again. I took a chance and it didn't pay off really. The 3 working batteries work great though, no issues, I just don't trust them. Probably better off just grabbing new ones with the warranty.

I have been buying batteries and collecting new tools as they come on sale. I have even bought some used tools from a local network. I've also joined a Ryobi group on reddit and many many people talk about this place, Direct Tools Factory Outlet. Since they are in other parts of the country, I assumed there wouldn't be one near me and I would be stuck ordering online only. DTO has many of their deals online, but some items are never on-sale, online. I talked about this place to my wife, and she had the brilliant idea to get me a shopping spree at the Ryobi outlet. It turns out I probably called it the Ryobi outlet and not its real name. She was not able to find it until we went to go purchase some items and I used the real name. No wonder she couldn't find it. We used Google Maps to get us in the general area of the place, and then she called to see what it was next to. It was next to Nautica. I told her, it was in fact like a Ryobi outlet because all we could see were Ryobi items as we entered. I was so excited to see so many Ryobi items in person, that I didn't take hardly any photos. I will have to go back to take more photos. We purchased 3 items that were discounted, already, and then an additional discount for a President's Day Sale. Great experience and I can't wait to go back.
