- LOLj Optional2 days ago1.0I had a really frustrating experience with Window World and would not recommend them based on my experience. This was for a new sliding glass door with a doggie door cutout, and from the start, communication was an issue. The salesperson did not seem to listen carefully to what I was asking for, which ended up causing problems later on. I specifically ordered a 9x12 doggie door, but what was installed was a 9x12 cutout—meaning the actual doggie door is much smaller than what I requested. That was a major disappointment. The installation process was also extremely drawn out. I was originally told the project would take about 4–5 weeks, but it ended up taking 11 weeks. The installer repeatedly delayed and gave me the runaround, which made the whole process stressful and inconvenient. Overall, between poor communication, significant delays, and not receiving what I ordered, this was not a good experience. I would strongly suggest getting everything in writing and double-checking measurements if you decide to go with them.

Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Generally, replacement windows can be installed within 4-8 weeks from the date that the final measurements are taken. The type of window being installed and type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
What happens to my old windows?
After installing your new replacement windows we remove all old windows from your property and dispose of them properly. If you wish to keep your old windows or storm windows, please notify the installation crew as soon as it arrives for your installation.
