I waited a bit to write this review so I could see how everything was working after the job was completed. I was really optimistic after seeing all the positive reviews but unfortunately our experience was not very good and we need to call out another company to get the system working the way we were expecting (zoning doesn’t work properly). Here is a summary of what we experienced: When we originally spoke to the tech, the estimate scheduling start time was 10 days. It took three weeks to get someone in. We picked IRBIS based on price and availability because our ducts were torn. We ended up having to live with our torn ducts for three weeks when other companies had sooner availability. No project plan delivered, I asked for it three times and got it less than 24 before the work was suppose to start. We had no idea when people were coming or if we had to be out of the house for asbestos abatement. The project was projected to take 3-4 days. We ended up being without heat in 40 degree weather for 8 days. It was a hassle coordinating with them to get people to come out and finish the job. At one point our system wouldn’t even turn on. I would ask when they could send someone out and they quoted me multiple days. I had to push for same day since we were so cold and the project was not done. Doesn’t help I’m in my first trimester of pregnancy and was extremely sick. We also have a toddler so we had to go out and buy a special heater to temp. control his room at night. They were pretty rough with our walls. We just bought this house and it was sad to see them cut bigger holes than needed and fill them messily. They chipped a tile in our bathroom and cut a hole that was too big. It looks pretty bad now. I’ll probably pay someone to fix it. They didn’t want to replace a number of boots because they said they would need to cut more into the wall. So we have a bunch of rusted boots still in place. Not sure if this will impact functionality over time. They also used a super thin cover over one of our main intakes so we get to see a large exposed duct every time we walk out our bedroom. It didn’t look like that before so it’s definitely a bummer. The worse part is that our zoning panel got fried at some point during the replacement and we had to pay an extra $1200 to get a new one. Zoning doesn’t work properly still because they said our dampeners are broken. Our original 12k quote included dampeners but I guess those are the manual one and not the electric ones that accompany the zoning panel? Not sure how I would know that and it didn’t state it explicitly in our contract. They wanted an extra 4k to replace the zoning panel and dampeners. This is on top of the 12k job so quite an unexpected up charge. We paid just the $1200 to replace the panel itself because it was the only way to get the system to work. We had no choice but to pay or else it wouldn’t turn on and were already 8 days without heat in January. Now the system works but zoning doesn’t. I can turn on just upstairs but it won’t go to our bedroom. When I turn on downstairs its blasts the whole house. Overall a really bad experience. Total we spent about $13,500 and I assume I’ll have to pay another 1-2k more to have someone else come out to fix the zoning issue. In retrospect we would have gone with one of the companies.

Had Irbis drop by for a second opinion on our heater intermittent shutoff issue. Fuse had completely misdiagnosed our issue and was trying to charge us an arm and a leg for fan replacement. Jonathan Camargo and Ivan were our techs that corrected the problem and it was much simpler solution! They also pointed out a possible issue with our intake pipe letting water in and suggested a fix! Fuse didn’t even inform us of that issue. Pleased with their service and explanations. We just had a seasonal maintenance by Dominic Corriere and he was great as well. Thanks!

I was totally and completely satisfied with the service and experience that I had with Rudy who was an IRBIS technician providing maintenance service to my heater/furnace. Rudy was not only skilled and highly knowledgeable about the unit and the work he performed. He was friendly and provided detailed answers to all my questions. I would recommend IRBIS and Rudy to all my friends who would need such services in the future. I will also remain a loyal customer to IRBIS. Chia Lau

Our technician, Rudy, did an outstanding job addressing a vibration issue coming from our heating and cooling system outside. He was extremely thorough, professional, and methodical--making sure to check every possible cause instead of rushing through the appointment. He clearly explained what he was doing, walked us through the issue, and ultimately resolved it completely. We truly appreciate the time and care he took to make sure everything was working properly. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Our 25 year old furnace stopped working abruptly so we called a couple outfits to come out to diagnose. IRBIS responded immediately and their technician did a thorough diagnosis; together we decided to replace it. We had four HVAC companies come out and were most impressed with the professionalism of IRBIS. Tim came out and presented us with options and demystified all the aspects of heat pumps vs furnaces. He thoroughly answered our questions, showed us photos of installations and walked the house with us as we explained our needs. What we appreciated was Tim not resorting to upselling or promoting one option over another. He explained pros and cons transparently and left the decision in our hands. We decided to replace all the duct work, replacing the furnace with a heat pump and smart thermostat. They came in at the middle of the pack; and their estimate was the most detailed of all bids we received from four different companies. Their schedule required a two week out start so they offered us an electric heater (which we didn't need). The work was completed efficiently with the crew explaining exactly how the installation would be made and showing us precisely what they were doing in each phase. The crew reported for work on time over 3 days and they cleaned up impeccably each day after themselves. After installation their communication was timely with respect to setting up testing of the system and inspection. For such an expense it was reassuring to know that we could trust IRBIS to perform exactly as promised before, during and after the project ended. We highly recommend IRBIS!
