Ordered kitchen cabinets - store manager added in unnecessary items we didn't know until the units were installed by our contractor until after installation. Yalanda the store manager said due to the amount of money spent and a "special promotion" they added cookware valued over $650.00. However the order was padded with 7 roll out trays - we had asked for pantry slide outs only 2-3.
We made part of this mistake work but had an additional 5 out of 7 trays that did not fit nor were they what we asked for.
When we contacted Yalanda we asked to return them- she said no problem and would meet us on 6/14 in their show room to return the items. She claimed she had to rush out to another location in Sacramento but would take care of it when she returned.
Meanwhile we ordered an additional butcher block counter top and spent an additional $300.00. We also picked that up- and asked about our refund. Again Yalanda was not at the location when we arrived.
We were willing to work with Yalanda and choose some alternative accessories to replace the items she mistakenly over ordered (padded) our original order with- said she would have to talk to her accounting department to waive a shipping charge of $99.99 on our return authorization - and she would get back to us for design approvals for the replacement items we would exchange.
Yalanda conveniently was not at the store when we returned the products and she never contacted us back to either receive our credit or the replacement items...
We have been waiting for a an e-mail follow up - call... nothing since June 14th, 2024.
So on 7/23/2024 we contacted HQ. Mason the customer service rep and asked for our refund almost $500.00 he said he would reach out to the store manager Yalanda and we would see a credit on our account within 24-48 hours. Crickets….
Nothing happened - we called back today 8/4 and again reached "Mason" who informed us that the "credit" was processed on 6/11/2024. But didn't have all the details. This is funny- not funny because we returned the products on 6/14 and what should have been applied was only the shipping charge of $99.99 - that didn't apply because we personally brought them back.
Yalanda said she would have to talk to the accounting department about the cookware promotional items we received and had been approved to not charge us or have them replaced because of her error and the additional amount of money we spent for a counter top.
Now they are trying to not only reduce our refund well below what we paid for the error made- but also want us to return “promotional” items that are overvalued 100%.
I called the customer support line again today 8/3 /2024 the customer support agent transferred us back to the store and Yalanda says she JUST received an email for the credit adjustment "today". 8/3/2024. In the amount of $112.92- for items we paid over $700 in total for !!! We spent nearly $8000. And this is how they treat their customers?
I asked to talk to the accounting departments phone number - wouldn't give it to me. Asked for email confirming the refund details offered. I was asked to return the enamel cookware - not a problem - but the lies and shady practices they used in order to avoid crediting us back for items returned - due to their intentional
padding of the order with items we did not need - we are going to seek further legal recourse if they don’t honor what they said would be done to correct this mistake clearly on their side.
Buyers beware!!!! There is something very wrong with this location and company and how they don't do the right thing for consumers and clients.!!!
