Founded by Sidney Rubin, Sid's Carpet Barn has been providing quality flooring for Southern California from its original location ("The Red Barn") at 132 West 8th street in National City, since 1950.
Since our humble beginning as a discount retail carpet store, we have grown into a full service flooring company with four convenient locations (including three retail locations totaling in excess of 70,000 square feet of warehousing and showroom space) in Southern California to serve our loyal customers.
Today after numerous years in the floor covering business we have grown to be among the top 50 largest specialty flooring companies in the United States.

- GJGeorge JacksonJul 31, 20251.0Had an appointment for them to come out and do my kitchen and my living room flooring they never showed up they were supposed to be here between 8:00 and 12:00 they never showed up at all had to call them they didn't answer then finally when they did answer they said there was an emergency and they have to cancel after I took a day off of work where's my reimbursement for missing that day of work very unprofessional where's the customer service they didn't even try to send someone else out I was here all day long they could have tried to send someone out but they didn't they didn't care they could have called other stores found somebody who could have came out and did my flooring so meanwhile I was inconvenience very unprofessional now I guess they are going to come out on Saturday and do my floor I can't take another day off of work so someone has to be here on Saturday my wife will be here on Saturday to make sure that they're here but meanwhile I lost the day of work and has to be inconvenienced to wait 2 days and I hope they show up I will never shop at this place or tell any of my friends to get any carpet or flooring done by this place no customer service whatsoever none they could have tried to get someone out here but they did not not how you do business not how you keep customers

I HAVE A SMALL HOUSE AND THEY MOVED OAK ANTIQUES IN FOUR ROOMS AND CAREFULLY REPLACED..THEY ALSO RE-CARPETED A SPIRAL STAIRCASE. I HAD BEEN QUOTED 3 DAYS TO FINISH THIS JOB - THEY WORKED SO EFFICIENTLY AND FAST - THEY WERE DONE IN ONE DAY! THEY SPEAK ENGLISH AND WERE EXTREMELY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL! THANK YOU!
- JAjoseph anthonyJul 6, 20251.0I rarely give reviews, especially bad ones. We purchased near $1000. “Remnant” rug. When we picked up the rug. They literally would not let us take the carpet out, unless we had a truck that exceeded the width of the truck. If that were not bad enough, the “on floor manager” spoke to us so rudely as if we were children (I do not speak to my child in the tone that this guy spoke to us). My housemate called me to let me know what was going on and the manager was literally yelling in the background. The carpet had already been paid for, and we had movers setting up our home so we left the facility, went and rented a truck to carry it off of the parking lot. We then transferred it to the truck that we had originally brought. Definitely one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had and purchasing something for our home. We are good caring people.

But I remembered they did carry other flooring so I visited Sid's and it turned out to be the very last place since I found exactly what I was looking for! And with the patient assistance of Bob, I purchased an entire house of LVT. I really liked the fact that it is a one-stop shop: from knowledgeable sales staff to in-house installers. Sid's will definitely be my FIRST stop when I next need new flooring. Thank you, Bob and Sid's.
