- THTamra HunterOct 20, 20231.0Unfortunately very disappointed in this local business. We bought a Grundfos booster pump from Barrett in Dec 2022. Come Oct 2023 the pump malfunctions and floods under our house with over a foot and a half of water. The pump is under warranty for 24 months, however the service rep at Barrett told our licensed plumber that it’s almost a year old and we shouldn’t push the warranty. Further when I reached out for an update I was given attitude. We live up a hill, my water pressure is incredibly impacted. We cannot run our dishwasher, washing machine, and our shower has minimal pressure. I have three young kids, we need to have this fixed. We finally got an update confirming it was a manufacturer defect and not installation (which we already knew) and a new pump would come the following Monday. That is a full 6 days after the flood. Further, both Barrett and Grundfos refuse to reimburse us any of the cost of reinstallation, let alone damage under our home. So we’re out installation costs, 6 days of water pressure, and will have the same model installed with no assurances that Barrett will make things right if this happen again.
