- RBRay BriscoDec 21, 20242.0United Rental failed to deliver a 12" chipper despite my reservation several weeks in advance. 2 days before the delivery date for my project I was told there was no chipper available unless I paid more than $700 additional to have one moved from one rental yard to the one closer to me. I have zero trust in this business. Do what you say or do not make the commitment. Or at very least, deliver on your promise and eat the cost. Long term, this failure will cost this business money as I will not rent here again unless I have no other choice. NOTE: I am generously leaving 2 stars because they did deliver the 60' articulating boom I reserved at the same time; and the delivery/truck driver was truly fantastic -- a magician backing his semi into position in order to drop off the giant boom in a tight space.

The countermen was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to get the right product for my job. The yard staff was also very helpful. They had the equipment loaded in my tuck before I was even done with the paper work. When I came to drop the equipment off they met me at my truck and unloaded it for me. This is a great operation and I will dive the extra distance and not go to Home Depot again.
