    Warning! Do not trust these people. In almost a year, they have not lived up to their promises. They installed a new system in my house that didn't work with propane, and it took them six months to figure that out. They damaged my home in the process, and customer service was extremely poor and they never reached out to me to try to rectify the issue. I had to continually chase them down. The install team was rude. The heater didn't work. The compressor in the backyard was so extremely loud that my neighbors complained about the noise, so I couldn't use the AC often and not on hot nights because it disturbed the neighborhood. I also spoke with the city who said that no building permit had been applied for when they installed the system. When I would call and attempt to speak to a manager, I kept being told the part for the heater was on back order. They made two attempts to install a part to make it work, but both times it was the wrong part. I asked that they check the AC compressor also but that never happened. After over four months of this I was finally told that they discovered that the system they installed was for natural gas and could not be converted to propane. I was told they would talk to the manager and get back to me with a resolution. I told them it was getting cold and I have no other source of heat in the house, no fireplace, no wood stove, etc. They didn't get back to me. We had to leave the house empty and go stay somewhere else because it was too cold for me and my husband to be in the house. I called every couple of weeks and left messages and they said they would call me back. They didn't. After doing this for a couple of months I was done. I called and said I want their incompatible system removed and I would go somewhere else to get a new system because they were obviously incompetent. I was then escalated to talk to Dave Olson who tried to tell me that I had no choice but to let them install a new system because I had signed a contract. Once I told him that I had already given them six months of opportunities to make it right and I had consulted with an attorney and knew I had the right to refuse, then he turned to begging me to give them another chance. He promised me that they would replace the system ASAP, not leave without making sure it worked, fix all the damages, provide a higher quality system with a free 10 year service plan and a refund of $2000. He also gave me his direct number so I could contact him by phone or text with any issues. My gut said no, but he begged and I finally agreed. He sent me an email outlining all of this in writing. They installed the new system. It is louder than I was told, works the same as the 30-year-old system, it works but I'm not impressed. I reached out a few weeks later to ask about the repairs and the refund since I had heard nothing. The person they sent to do the repairs, upon his arrival, told me he would do his best but he's not that great with painting, one of the main issues. Fine. City still can't find any record of a building permit submitted. Then I asked Dave Olson about the refund. He forgot he promised it. I forwarded him the email he sent me outlining the agreement. He said he would check into it and talk to the VP. Then he said I had to wait a few weeks for their payroll run. Seemed strange but fine. I waited and nothing. Reached out again and he said he would check with payroll and the VP. Didn't make it on the last one, will be on the next one. This happened repeatedly, he would say it is coming just wait for it, and then nothing. Finally, he said it had been mailed. Of course, it never came. I said cut a new check and I'll pick it up. He said he would get the check and bring it to me. He never showed. That was the last I heard from him. He no longer responds to my messages or emails. The 10 year service plan is useless to me because I do not trust them. They are dishonest and unprofessional. Please take this as a warning to anyone considering calling these people. I wish I had trusted my gut.

    Adrian and Geraldo were great. Only issue was that parts department didn’t have the right speed insinkerator in stock so it took three days from initial visit to get it installed. Also, parts dept didn’t have the faucet I wanted in stock.

    We recently had an issue with our Furnace and JR Putman has gone above and beyond to handle it!!! We couldn't be happier!!! I want to thank everyone at JR Putman, starting with Dave & Tim, it's not often you come across a company that provides exceptional customer service. Brandon our technician was professional, courteous and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what he was doing, answered all of our questions, and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. It was a warm day yesterday and despite that, he remained positive, focused and hardworking throughout the entire job. Thank you, Karyn D

    We recently upgraded our HVAC (Heat & AC) & Hot Water Heater through JR Putman. It was a shock at how expensive doing this has become over the past decade, but they gave us a real good deal - More efficient system at the cost of the minimum efficiency system and the HWH for $1. They were able to schedule immediately at our convenience, and always communicated arrival times accurately. Justin and Anthony were very professional, worked hard and were always polite. Our new system is very quiet and our water gets hot much quicker now. We are grateful and pleased customers 😀

    Horrible customer service and WORST service provided, do NOT use this company. My family placed a call for a water spigot/hose bib and waited for over a month and a half because JR Putman stated they needed to “special order” the product. We ended up contacting another plumber who purchased the product locally and installed the spigot same day without any delay, this was not a “special product,” just a normal inch torch spigot. Then after roughly two months we contacted JR Putman since no one called us back or communicated anything and we told them to cancel the request. After the dust settled, we had to contact JR Putman to service our Puronics system since they are one of the only three dealers in Northern California. On January 22, 2026, we called for maintenance for the Puronics device and as of today March 10, 2026, we still have not heard from them, text messages are unanswered, we called and asked to speak with a supervisor, still no call back. We ended up trashing the unit and purchasing a new unit through another company. The worst part is we contacted the Puronics manufacturer who told us they have no back order of the maintenance kit and could have it out to us in less than a week, so why would it take JR Putman this long to service or obtain the product? Your guess is as good as mine. This company was very reputable in the past and as of the last year or two has just gone downhill. I would not recommend them for anything, not even AC repair which they messed up as well, if I wrote down all the chances I gave them to save my business this would be an exceptionally long review. Stay away and do not use this company for anything they offer. Too much drama and no quality service. They don't even deserve the one star that I had to give them in order to post this review. Worst service ever!!
