- LPLuis PenalozaApr 1, 20251.0The owner significantly underestimated the scope of a small street patch, which reflected a lack of very simple and basic estimating skills. After the fact, they claimed to have performed double the work and pursued legal action to recover additional costs with no proof. In my experience, this felt dishonest and unprofessional. They also sued the individual and not the contractor company which shows lack of understanding the legal proceeedings aswell. All around incompetence. EDIT: I stand by my previous statement. Please be cautious - this contractor tends to claim work was mandated by the inspector without providing any documentation to support it. We told him we will gladly pay but need some form of documentation. In this case, we ended up paying just to get them off our backs. There was no proof ever given, and pushing change orders seems to be part of their strategy.

After a back and forth with 4 other plumbers, Alpha Trenchless was so easy. They returned my calls quickly (shocking!), showed up on time, were such nice guys, and did very high quality work. Not only that, but my flowers, grass, and trees were all unaffected by what would have been a huge trenching project had we gone with a traditional water main replacement. We will use this company whenever possible and have already recommended them to two of our friends.

No one else would even give us a bid. Xavier and Esperanza were not intimidated by the difficult job or working with our difficult public works department.
