- RPRolando P.Dec 13, 20251.0I purchased a Richmond American home built in 2021. After recent rains, I discovered water intrusion at the eaves that aligns with a roof vent penetration. This is not an area directly exposed to rain, suggesting a construction or flashing issue. I contacted Richmond American and was advised that the 1-year workmanship warranty had expired and that the issue does not fall under the 10-year structural warranty administered by RWC. RWC subsequently denied coverage. While the home looks good cosmetically, buyers should be aware that issues like roof penetrations and flashing defects may become the homeowner’s responsibility very shortly after purchase. The rest of the house feels cheap, paint in rooms wipe off, I already had to replace faucets, doors, and others... my other home in Canyon Hills is not as low quality as this, I rather buy a well built house that is older than a new home from a builder that seems to cut corners. I’m sharing this to set expectations for future buyers. I will update this review if the situation is resolved or additional support is offered. Insurance is expensive in california so this will just hurt your chances of getting renewed with the insurance. Low quality homes are expensive after a couple of years, so I will not buy here any other home.

She seemed tired or not interested in talking to me or my husband. He was asking questions and she would give a quick response just to cut him off. I came back with my agent and then she remembered who I was. I think she needs to start taking people serious when they go to see the model homes, no matter how we dress or look! Don’t be fooled by our appearance.
