  Our experience with this company was disappointing. The flooring itself was good quality, which makes the rest of the experience even more frustrating. From start to finish, communication was inconsistent, invoices questionable and getting simple answers became an ongoing challenge. We repeatedly asked for a reconciliation of our account and explanations for charges, to no avail. Despite multiple requests, we never received an explanation or clear documentation supporting the charges. What ultimately left the worst impression was a substantial charge for floor levelling that was introduced after the project was already underway. In my opinion, identifying whether a floor requires levelling is a basic part of preparing an estimate for flooring. That was their job. Being presented with a significant additional cost at the last minute felt unfair and avoidable. Emails went unanswered, and trying to resolve issues took far more effort than it should have and in the end were not resolved. There was very little sense of accountability or customer service offered. While the product itself was good, the overall experience was not. If you value clear communication, accurate estimates, professional administration, and a smooth process, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

  I am so impressed by the customer service I received from Allan Rug Co. I ordered a custom bound wool carpet from them in August. It quickly became apparent to me that the quality was sub par compared to the sample I ordered from. Before I had a chance to contact them to raise my concerns, they reached out to see if I would leave a review. When I told them I was not happy with the quality of the rug, they requested pictures. It was difficult to see the issues from a photo so my salesperson, Joan-Marie scheduled a home visit. She them followed up with the manufacturer and kept on them when they were slow to respond. Thanks to Joan-Marie's advocacy, they agreed to replace the carpet, rebind it and deliver it. She even dropped off a cut of the new rug to ensure it was acceptable before placing the order. The replacement rug is beautiful and I could not be more pleased with the final product. It is rare to find a company that stands behind their products so well. I would give them 5 stars +++ if I could.

  This family owned business (two brothers one of whom requires anger modification treatment ) has provided inconsistent service albeit fine quality product often hard to source quickly in Toronto. I will Never use them again due to a recent breach of contract and threats to my security made by one of the brothers . Avoid at all Costs if you are used to seamless transactions and value your integrity because no matter how easy it should be, it never is with the poor accounting abilities of both brothers and worse their total Avoidance of acceptable business etiquette such as written Contracts , timely responses to emails and phone calls and their general disdain re any kind of research including looking up Past accounts. The dominant verbally abusive brother needs a “handler” and medication to help control his wild rants and near-meltdowns.
