⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish!
I recently rented a sod cutter from Sunbelt Rentals in Peterborough and the entire experience was exceptional from beginning to end.
I needed the machine on fairly short notice, and they were able to get one ready for me first thing the very next morning. They called to confirm everything and kept me informed throughout the process, which made the whole experience incredibly easy.
When I arrived, the staff at the counter were friendly, professional, and had me checked in quickly. From there, a gentleman brought the sod cutter out, loaded it directly onto my trailer, and took the time to walk me through exactly how to operate it. He made sure I was comfortable using the machine and even pointed out the clearly labelled operating instructions on the unit in case I needed a refresher once I got home. No rushing, no assumptions, just genuinely great customer service.
The sod cutter itself worked flawlessly and did exactly what I needed it to do.
The staff had also mentioned at pickup that I could simply refill the machine with gas before returning it rather than being charged their refuelling rate. I appreciated them being upfront about that and giving me the opportunity to save the extra cost.
The return was just as impressive. I went inside to let the staff know I had brought the machine back, and before I even had to ask for assistance, one of their team members was already outside unloading it from my trailer. He took care of everything, put my trailer back into place, and I was ready to go.
It’s rare that every single part of a customer experience goes this smoothly — booking, communication, pickup, instruction, equipment quality, and return. Every person I dealt with was helpful, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making the rental process easy.
People are often quick to leave a review when something goes wrong, so I think it’s equally important to recognize a business when they get everything right.
This was absolutely a 5-star experience. Thank you to the entire Sunbelt Rentals Peterborough team. You’ve earned a repeat customer, and I won’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone needing equipment rentals.
Fantastic service from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back!

I use Sunbelt at work a lot, but this was my first home rental use. The float driver was on time, used safety cones, wore all PPE and was friendly. The machine was in great condition. Thanks!
