- FLFrank LeeApr 3, 20241.0My recent experience with HERC Rental Inc. has left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others about their deceptive practices. From misleading rates to hidden fees, my interaction with HERC Rental Inc. was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, I was quoted what appeared to be reasonable rates for renting a forklift and delivery – $475 per day for the forklift and $275 for delivery. However, when I received the final invoice, I was shocked to find that the rates had been significantly inflated without any prior indication. Instead of honoring the quoted rates, I was charged an exorbitant $1399 for one forklift and $1412.79 for the other, nearly triple the amount initially agreed upon. What's worse is that the representative I dealt with in the office conveniently failed to mention that the delivery fee would be doubled. Despite specifically asking him twice if any numbers would be altered on the contract, I was assured that everything would remain the same. This blatant dishonesty is unacceptable and reflects poorly on HERC Rental Inc.'s integrity. Adding insult to injury, upon receiving the inflated bill, I discovered several hidden fees labeled as "other charges" that were never mentioned in the initial contract. These undisclosed fees only served to further inflate the total cost, leaving me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. In conclusion, my experience with HERC Rental Inc. was marred by deceitful practices and unprofessional behavior. I urge anyone considering using their services to proceed with caution and be wary of the misleading rates and hidden fees. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for your rental needs. HERC Rental Inc. cannot be trusted to uphold their end of the bargain.
