So happy to share that RR's technician, Daniel, provided excellent service today when he performed maintenance on our heating/cooling system. Daniel arrived on time and kept me advised as he went through the maintenance checklist. Also, Samantha in the office, was very helpful in scheduling my appointment. I will definitely use RR in the future.

This review is for homeowners considering replacing their HVAC system, especially if you value knowledgeable technicians and professional service when spending tens of thousands of dollars on a major home upgrade. I wish someone had shared this advice with me before I chose RR Electric Heating & Air: look elsewhere. After getting several quotes from HVAC companies, I chose RR not because they were the cheapest, but because their sales representative assured me their technicians were “the best in the business” and that the company took exceptional pride in its work. I was willing to pay more for the confidence that the installation would be done correctly. Unfortunately, that confidence was misplaced. After I agreed to move forward, the sales rep pushed to remove my existing HVAC system during that same visit, even though installation was scheduled later. This would have left my home without air conditioning until install day. When I questioned it, he admitted it was sometimes done to prevent customers from backing out after signing. Installation day was disorganized. At one point the outdoor condenser unit was installed backwards, leaving the control panel, wiring, and refrigerant lines facing directly into my garden. When I asked why, I was told RR installs units this way so the maintenance panel is easier for technicians to access. This explanation made little sense. I insisted the unit be rotated and installed correctly, which they eventually did. During installation, a technician also went onto my roof to adjust the furnace vent and damaged multiple roof shingles. I only discovered this later while inspecting the roof myself. To their credit, RR eventually paid for the repair, but this was damage that should never have happened. RR was also responsible for coordinating the required city inspection after installation. Instead, I had to chase them for five months and multiple phone calls just to get the process moving. Nearly a year later they returned to repair what they described as “a couple of small gas leaks” in the furnace installed in my attic. Around the same time, they offered a “complimentary electrical inspection.” We believed this was related to the HVAC system, especially given the earlier gas leak and the one-year HVAC maintenance included with the install. Instead, an electrician arrived, began removing outlets from walls, and told my tenant the entire electrical system was overloaded and could start a fire. Shortly afterward I received an $18,000 estimate to replace the home’s electrical system. This was surprising given that RR had previously inspected the electrical panel during the HVAC installation and confirmed it could support the new system. The home was fully renovated in 2012, and RR had never performed electrical work here before. The visit appeared unrelated to the HVAC system and felt more like a high-pressure attempt to sell a large electrical job. When I spoke with RR’s electrical manager, he told me the electrician had been instructed not to discuss the estimate with the tenant, only the landlord but it was too late. I was told the situation would be reviewed and that I would receive a call back. That call never came. I followed up again requesting the electrician’s license number after outlets had been removed from my walls. I was again told someone would call me back. No one ever did. This has been, without question, the worst home improvement experience I’ve ever had. Between questionable sales tactics, installation mistakes, roof damage, gas leaks, poor communication, and an unexplained $18,000 electrical proposal, the experience has been exhausting and disappointing. I have kept records of these interactions and repairs so other homeowners can make an informed decision before committing to a major project with this company. If you are comparing HVAC companies, I strongly recommend doing thorough due diligence and considering alternatives before choosing RR Electric Heating & Air.

I rarely leave feedback… and when I do, it’s either to warn my fellow consumers to prevent a similar negative experience, or to share an amazing one that I’ve had with a business. I’m HAPPILY writing to inform what a competent, caring, thorough, professional, & honest company RR Electric, Heating & Air is! Seems like nowadays, no one will give their best (as they should) unless you pay through the nose an exorbitant amount - Not the case with these guys! Rodrigo was our tech, & we couldn’t have asked for a more caring, knowledgeable, competent, and understanding person to thoroughly track down the source of our HVAC system’s issue & fix it… the right way. He TRUELY cared to do the job right… & not just to ‘micky mouse it’ like the original installers had. He pointed out all the issues & addressed them with the latest equipment & technology - and for a very reasonable cost (which I will not state out of respect for them). This HVAC/Electric company has earned my trust & respect and I will be there, lifelong customer… In addition to referring them to all my friends, family, and real estate clients. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a competent, trustworthy, and honest HVAC and electric company company. FIVE+ STARS!!!

Rodrigo Estrada came to conduct the maintenance on our furnace and HVAC. He was very thorough with the work and checked everything in the system then explained it well, in such a manner that would be easily understood. He was also friendly, polite, and accommodating of any questions I had. He cleaned up after he was done and left everything in good order. The company is pretty good and trustworthy.

RR Electric Heating & Air Yes, Jonathan gets a solid 5. He put me straight as to the real cause of my breaker problem. I thought it was because the outside breaker box was exposed to water during a recent storm; he said it was because I was overloading the system in that room with power strips attached to too many devices, causing the outlets to overload the breaker. With additional outlet installations, he put my potential fire hazard of an office to rights — all in one morning. Now I'm back in business the same afternoon. When he left, my wife said, "I wish you had gotten their contact information, because I'll be needing him for another project soon." I told her to relax, that I practically had it tattooed on my arm." Thanks!
