  We spent a long time looking for the right place to live and visited many areas, including Hemet, San Jacinto, Winchester, and Moreno Valley. Compared to those places, this community felt much nicer and better maintained. We also looked at homes from builders like Lennar and Taylor Morrison, but every community had some downsides for us — either the floor plans didn’t work, the price was too high, or we didn’t like the location as much. Based on our budget, this ended up being the best option. We’ve been living here for about two months now and are very happy with our decision. The builder offers a one-year warranty, and the service so far has been excellent. Any warranty requests have been handled quickly and professionally. The only downside is that the pool and clubhouse are still not open, but that’s managed by the HOA. Like in many communities, there are still some questions for them. Overall, it’s a great place to live and we’re glad we chose it.

  We truly love our home and the community and would definitely recommend Riverwalk to others looking to buy a home. A few points to keep in mind: 1. Contract Confusion: After escrow ended and we were fully moved in, we were unexpectedly informed that one of our original contracts could not be upheld due to circumstances that were never disclosed to us beforehand. While a resolution was eventually reached, clearer communication from the beginning would have allowed us to make more informed decisions during negotiations. 2. Amenities Delay: We were originally told that community amenities, including the pool, gym, and clubhouse, would be available by July. That timeline has since been pushed back to at least September, with no firm guarantee. We’re now being told this is due to the city not insuring the amenities until a certain number of homes are completed. It’s frustrating that a large developer would overlook such a critical detail, especially while residents believed their HOA fees would be going to these amenities. We are approaching almost a year without these amenities being opened. 3. Construction Quality Oversights: We highly recommend hiring a third-party inspector. Ours identified numerous issues with the exterior of the home, such as loose fixtures, electrical issues, stucco cracks, and broken roof tiles. Note, you are given a small time frame to walk through the home and address any concerns, but obviously things like the roof can’t be seen. These are things a buyer shouldn’t have to catch themselves. (Side note - the garages seem pretty small. We have small cars so we fit both in there but it seems others only leave one car in the garage and park the other on the street so there’s limited parking for guests) Please do your due diligence when buying a home!
