- AAaab81077Apr 23, 20241.0Really disappointed in Richmond America. We have purchased a new and was preparing for our walkthrough, and a two month delay. The day before our walkthrough and 1-week before closing we found out there will be at least 1-month delay, because of poor management and communication from their staff on completing the correct Edison permits. My 80 year old parents and partner will be homeless because we were informed at the day before our walkthrough and can no longer request an extension to our lease. We are going to incur additional moving costs to store our furniture and hotel fees. If only this was communicated earlier we could have made arrangements on our lease. This is poor project management, poor communication and poor customer service. I don’t know what we are going to do. To respond to the owners response, I appreciate thanking me for working with you on this issue, but I have not seen where anyone is work with us on this delay. Our home was scheduled to be completed February/ March 2024 we are now in May. We were required to sign a document that stated there would be $350 a day fine if I delay closing, what is Richmond America penalty for their mistakes? I am incurring additional storage fees, and rent.
