If you’re in the review section you are most likely going through an insurance claim. We had a dishwasher leak and saturate our sub floor for a while. We made an insurance claim and service masters is who reached out. I wish I would have done more research on them. The contractors that did the work were awesome. Everything else has been a nightmare. There is no communication with them, I have even asked to speak to the head of the office and he wasn’t impressed with the timeline on things and said he would get on this and get back to us in 24 hours. That was 7 days ago. Our insurance provider has been waiting on a revised estimate for months now from then so that we can settle this and move on. Remember people, you do not have to go with who your insurance provider sends your way! Do your homework and look around, there are many others that do emergency type work. 11.5k they made through us just to leave us hanging for weeks on end, good job guys.

Although all the trades people that were sent out to repair our damage were excellent, our service master rep, Matt, needs to improve his communication skills! Almost every time I called him and left a message I either did not get a response or waited almost up to a week to get a response. I would often leave detailed questions so we wouldn’t have to “connect “to get my answers. He could’ve left the answers to my questions on my voicemail the few times that he called me back. All he did was leave a message that he called. He never answered my questions and then we would have to play Telephone tag again in hopes that he would call me back. It was extremely frustrating. Also prior to the restoration and during the restoration, I spoke to him to confirm that our deductible would be covered with the leftover money from the repair. He told me at the time that “shouldn’t be a problem “. We never spoke of it again and I assumed all was fine. The job continued as expected, and was finally completed. I then got a call from Matthew a few weeks after the major repairs were done,(there was just one small bit of work that still needed to be done), saying that he was checking his files and had seen that I hadn’t paid our deductible. I said to him that, “yes, that is correct. I did not pay our deductible because I spoke to him about it prior and it was to be covered by the repair quote.” He then claimed that he didn’t remember that conversation and would have to check his files. I then got a call from him saying that we owed the deductible. Not impressed that I was not informed of this when we had our original conversation months ago. There was a few changes to the work order, but when I discuss that with Matt early on in the renovation process, he said that that wouldn’t be a problem as it was a very small change and they should be able to cover the small change in the work order and the deductible. That obviously wasn’t the case because he sent me an invoice for the deductible when the job was complete. More transparency and returning phone calls in a timely manner and/or answering detailed questions on a voicemail on a Return call would be appreciated.

Due to June 9th, 2026 rain storm my town got 10 inches of rain, and I ended up with water up to the first step at the bottom of my basement stairs. My basement is fully finished with 2 bedrooms, rec room, full bathroom and storage area. I called my Insurance company Red River Mutual at 9:00 am on June 10th, and Joel from Service Master was at my house late afternoon that day. Shortly after this the clean up crew was here to start removing everything from the basement. They documented everything that was damaged. I want to say a "Huge thank you to everyone that was at my house doing the clean up, you were great and took so much stress off of my plate"! Christine who I spoke to many times on the phone is a sweetheart. She is so kind and so very helpful! Chris has also been amazing at organizing everything that has been done and needs to be done, as well as answering my questions. He has also taken a lot off stress off of me and has been so helpful. Another gentleman came out to the house from Service Master to check to see how things were going, and I'm so sorry but I can't remember his name. He was so nice and helpful as well. He was great at answering the questions that I had.
I really can't say enough about Service Master and all of their employees that I have dealt with. I highly recommend this company and thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this difficult time in my life, less stressful. I appreciate everyone of you, for your kindness and all the work that you have done for me.

We had flood in our basement with raw sewage coming up. When I called ServiceMaster they sent out a group that were helping out from Ontario. Brad and Kyle and their team were fantastic! Right from the initial visit to the clean up they were so kind and thoughtful. If I could give them a 15 out of 10 I would!! It was such a stressful time and they couldn't have been kinder. I would definitely recommend them!!

Posting on behalf of a homeowner:
Hello,
We just want to thank ServiceMaster Restore for attending to our flood emergency so quickly, but we really want to single out Mitch, who supervised our demolition.
He conducted himself with the utmost professionalism, courtesy and thoroughness. He went above and beyond the call to ensure our basement was kept organized of its' contents, and the affected areas clean and free of dust including our main floor.
Mitch explained the whole process from start to finish. No detail was too small. He kept us updated as he, and his very capable crew moved forward.
We hope we never have to experience a flooded basement again, but we would request and trust Mitch to get us through another stressful ordeal.
Please post this on Google Gmail if you can as we do not have an account or the ability to post for all to see.
Kind Regards,
David & Shirley
