  I hate to say this but I have to leave 1 star because there isn’t a 0 star rating. My father had Gallaghers come out to do a pre summer inspection and maintenance. The service guy basically told my elderly father he needed a whole system replacement to the tune of about $13.5K which with what they offered was a reasonable price. However we wanted a second opinion so we contacted a local company who also happened to be an old friend. After the second opinion we were told that yes it is an older unit and aside from wanting something more energy efficient, there was absolutely no reason to replace the system. Gallaghers literally tried to take advantage of my elderly father on a fixed income trying to get him to replace his system without a genuine reason other than it’s old. The local company told us we have probably 4-5 more years with our current set up and when it is time they will recommend replacement. At the end of the day be careful and if a whole system replacement is recommended get a second opinion and bid. Gallaghers has become too large, now focusing on plumbing too, losing sight of taking care of the little guy. I believe also the service “techs” get a percentage bonus for every system upgrade they sell, so obviously your whole system needs to be replaced (I am not 100% sure this is correct but it is what I was told and it makes sense). Just be careful, shop local, and get a second opinion. Be well, do what is right, and look out for one another.

  This company just tried to sell my FIL a $13K system he doesn't need. We were told it was shot and he needed it replaced, so we got a second opinion and thankfully these guys were honest and it wound up only being a $72.00 repair while also being told the current system should be good for another 5 or so years... That's a WILD difference in opinion! We also heard this is very common from this company. Beware any quotes these people give you especially stating your system needs immediate replacement, you might call elsewhere and get a second opinion unless you have money to just give away. We're glad we called elsewhere!

  I received a flyer for the water heater flush special so I scheduled that service. Ray did that and did a walk around outside and inside for a safety inspection. I mentioned about the outside faucets needed replacement and he noticed the manifold type was old and fragile and recommended changing from the gate style to the lever for safety. He was able to do that all in a few hours and seal it up at a reasonable price. He had to work through unexpected complications from my older pipes and a thunderstorm. This work has a one year warranty

  Dylan came for the annual A/C maintenance update. He found the unit performing at less than optimal and suggested a refresh of FREON and inspection of the system and lines. He performed the service and will return to ensure there is no other problems with the lines or system. Dylan was very professional and cognizant of my time.

  Absolutely wondering customer service from eugene. He was knowledgable, talked me through everything, made some recommendations along the way, as well as giving me some good safety advice which I greatly appreciate. Thankful to now be on a maintenance plan for preventative care.
