    This company doesn't know what they are doing. I researched online to see which company has a dehumidifier to work on a client's water damaged property. Lowe's was out. Home Depot didn't have any either. Their entire shelves were empty due to the 3 days of rain. I did another search on Google using the keywords "dehumidifier near me". Sunbelt came up so I called them before driving to their office. The guy on the phone said yes we have a 10 gallon dehumidifier. I said ok. Hold it for me. I am driving from the Home Depot on Figuora and will be there in about 10 minutes. When I arrived I told them what I was there for so the front desk guy charged my credit card $200 as a deposit. Gave me a receipt to show the technician out in the yard so that he can load it in my vehicle. I waited for 10 minutes and no one showed up. I went looking for him around the property. He informed me that he did not have any. We walked back to the desk and he told them that the last 2 were rented by someone less than an hour ago. A Philipino cashier took over. She looked it up in the computer and said that there was one at another location so she took my receipt and cancelled my deposit before I left. She told me the next day that it would take 2 business days to show up in my bank account. When I arrived at the location she told me to go, the guy told me that my card did not go through. It was declined. I told him that the other location charged my credit card. He said to come back in an hour and try again. So I did. Again it didn't go through. I told him that I would try again the next morning when they open. At home I checked my account online and it showed that it had not gone through yet so I added money to my account by depositing some cash. When I went back. The female Hispanic cashier now said that the deposit had changed from the $200 that I was going to be charged to $500 now. I asked her why the drastic change. Yesterday the guy said that it was only going to be $200 that was going to be put on hold. He said we usually go high $300 then go down to the $200. She just ignored me and started helping someone else without answering me. So I just left. The left hand is not telling the right hand what they are doing. They just keep deleting request. When she asked me for the address that the equipment was going to be used at I told her that I already gave it to the guy yesterday. Too many people don't know what they are doing and the software that they use doesn't have a field box for notes.

What do I need to rent a tool?

All you need is your driver’s license or a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card to pay for the rental upfront. No extra deposit is required. Increase your financial flexibility with our Commercial Credit account. Our online application can be completed anytime, from anywhere.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?

For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment. For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here. If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. Call 800-667-9328 if you have any questions.
