These guys do such great work! We have used them many times and no matter the job, when completed you wouldn’t even know they were there. Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and they follow all of the guidelines and requirements of their given tasks; be it lead, asbestos, or mold, they follow the state and federal guidelines to a T. I can’t recommend them more highly! If you have an abatement issue there is only one choice: San Diego Abatement Services.

This company has poor service and has serious problems communicating to each other and to customers. I had them remove the popcorn from my ceiling. The first day they were supposed to come at 8:30, at 9 I called them to find out why they weren't here yet and they said they had to drive to Chula Vista to pick up machinery (I live in Mission Valley) and they didn't know when they would get there - extremely poor planning on their part. Meanwhile I am sitting around late for work waiting for them. I had to reschedule because I couldn't wait around all day for them. The next day they come on time, but then inform me that some guy has to come another day to finish the texturing of the ceiling. No one had told me this and it would require me to take even more time off of work to let the worker in and out of my apartment. I spoke to Sean, who I am assuming is the boss, about my dissatisfaction, and he was argumentative. His secretary failed to tell him I was taking time off of work to let the workers in and out of my apartment, and he tried to blame the miscommunication on me. The ceilings came out fine, but due to the horrible service I will not be using them again.

Frequently Asked Questions About San Diego Abatement Services

What is asbestos, and why is it dangerous?

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that was once widely used in construction materials due to its heat resistance and durability. However, when asbestos fibers are inhaled, they can cause serious health issues such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis. This makes it highly dangerous, especially during construction, renovation, or demolition when the fibers become airborne.

How do I know if my home contains asbestos or lead?

Asbestos and lead were commonly used in buildings constructed before the 1980s. Asbestos was especially common in acoustic ceilings, drywall mud, flooring, pipe materials, roofing, and more. Lead-based paint was used on a variety of painted surfaces. If you have an older home and are unsure whether it contains asbestos or lead, an environmental consultant is recommended to test it. If results turn positive, we can meet your abatement needs readily.
