My husband and I have been shopping at this location for years. Most times we have a great experience and the employees are friendly and some go above and beyond to help. That’s what keeps us going back and it’s convenient when we need to pop in and get what we need. Unfortunately, there are times that our experience is not great. Yesterday was one of those days. I will even say that it was the worst experience we have had there. My husband needed help finding a few things and he asked Jonathan for some help. First off, Jonathan had the look on his face like he was bothered that my husband even asked him for help. Then he proceeded to take my husband over to the aisle that had the item that he was looking for. He pointed to it and then walked away. Nothing more. My husband had another question for him, but didn’t get an opportunity to ask because Jonathan hurriedly walked away. Let me add that the store only had one other customer in it so it wasn’t as if they were busy. We then walked up to customer service to ask them the second question and to let them know how Jonathan treated us. They weren’t any better with their customer service. They didn’t even care that we were treated that way by Jonathan. He pretty much blew it off and answered our second question. It was a very unpleasant experience and one that has now left us even considering going back into Dixieline Lumber again. Customer service is huge and if I don’t have a pleasant experience, I’m not coming back. There are other hardware stores I can give my business to. The big box hardware stores are only an extra five minutes away, so I’m willing to drive the extra miles just to have a better experience. Honestly, the customer service desk could use some improvement on treating customers better as well.

Super friendly staff, so glad I gave them a shot after going to Home Depot. Needed some 10 foot plywood for making a DIY desk. Instead of the usual Home Depot slog of trying to find undamaged/dry lumber and dragging it yourself on a rusty cart, getting it back to their cutting station, trying to find someone to help me, and then having to get it out to the parking lot to load it - Dixileline was a breath of fresh air. Not to knock the staff at HD, there's fine people there, but they're understaffed by their corporate overlords and beholden to their way of doing things.
At Dixieline, they helped me pick out the lumber with plenty of helpful staff available, then had me go buy it at their contractor register just 50 feet away. I brought my receipt out to the yard and they happily grabbed the sheet and put it on a forklift, double checked with me where I wanted it cut and my dimensions, then took it back to their cutting station while I got my car. I pulled my car around back right to the middle of their lumber yard and soon after the guy came back smiling with the forklift and kept the tines up just slightly under the level of my roof rack to make it easy to transfer for me. In the end I paid maybe $5 more, for far better quality wood, a way better experience and supported a local business.
Thanks Dixieline!
