  Disorganized, Unprofessional, and Hidden Charges — Avoid This Branch I had a horrific end-to-end experience with Sunbelt Rentals Hayward. What I thought would be a straightforward rental turned into a logistical disaster and unauthorized charges. Misleading Sales & Poor Communication: I originally requested a 400lb floor scraper, but Melany convinced me to upgrade to a 600lb unit. She assured me that since they don’t pick up on weekends, my rental starting Friday would only count as a one-day rental. I paid the $1,800 invoice immediately, but Melany never sent the actual contract; I had to track it down through a different local rep. Delivery Issues: On Friday (3/27), the driver, Charles, arrived two hours late after multiple follow-up calls. He provided almost no instruction on the machine and explicitly told me that to initiate a pickup, I just needed to text or call him directly. The Runaround: I texted Charles at 9:41 AM on Saturday (3/28) to confirm I was finished. No response. I followed up with the main hotline on Sunday. The machine wasn't actually picked up until Tuesday. Unauthorized Charges: On 4/1, I was hit with an additional $999.99 charge. When I called to dispute it, I was told it was for a "late return"—despite the fact that I followed the driver's specific instructions for pickup. Avoidance & Unprofessionalism: When I tried to resolve this with the Hayward branch on Friday (4/3), Melany claimed she couldn't help because her manager was out, then promised a callback in 45 minutes. Four hours later, when I called her back, she immediately hung up on me. This branch is completely disorganized. They will give you verbal assurances, fail to communicate internally, and then charge your card for their own delays. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

  been waiting for over 15 minutes here and still no help. one of the yard guys even went out to tell her that a customer is waiting but she still did not come

  The customer service is very terrible. Made a phone call try to rent a machine, but the lady who pick up the call give me attitude right away. So I decide not to do business with them. Good luck to you if you talk with that lady.

  We are in a location that shares the same space. I have known that store, it's equipment, and their employees for over 5 years. They work very hard to provide quality equipment and service to their customers!! Can't praise them enough for like our store, providing excellent quality equipment and service to their customers! Great job Flooring Solutions...keep being top notch!!!
