  This is the second time we have had Doug and his team paint the exterior of our home and the interior once before. The do an amazing job, efficient, excellent quality without cutting corners.

  Doug and his team at Porter Painting were the absolute best choice for our home painting project. From start to finish, the crew were exceptionally professional, and came in on budget and on time enabling our floor installation to start without delay. Out of all the painters we contacted for estimates, Doug took the most time in our home measuring each space and taking in all the details that fed into the estimate. As such, his estimate was spot on and we did not see any increase in the budget during the project. You can expect the estimate to be a little higher than others, but that is because he is providing you the actual price for the professional work you're going to receive, not trying to come in lower only to add on costs later in the project. On every day of work, the crew (whom Doug has employed for 20+ years) arrived on time and worked both quickly and precisely to get the work done. They were always professional in their interactions and took time to explain their processes when we had questions. We asked a lot of Porter Painting. We had all interior walls (including closets and shelving), all doors, all trim, and all our cabinets painted. And we gave them less than 2-weeks to accomplish the task. Despite this, they had a high attention to detail with everything they did. For example, when painting our window sills, they took the time to paint the drywall around the window inside of the sill the same color as the walls, even though those small strips of drywall are rarely visible to us or guests. Also, their edging work at every piece of trim and along the ceiling was perfect. Even though we didn't have the ceiling painted, they still went along the ceiling joints with the walls and painted over where previous painters had gotten wall-color paint on the white ceiling. Every time I thought I would need to ask them to look at something I assumed they missed, I gave them a day or two and they took care of it without my input. That is how attentive they are. They will paint your home as if it's the home they are going to live in. That is the level of care they show in everything they do. We cannot wait to have Porter Painting back to finish up our baseboards after the flooring is installed, and I'm sure we'll have them back in the future to work on other projects! There are few guarantees in life when it comes to hiring contractors to work at your home, but I can guarantee you will be beyond satisfied with the work Porter Painting does if you hire them for your job!

  Two of the most important qualities of a good contractor are trustworthiness and high-quality work (I found out later that he has been doing this for something like 30+ years). Porter Painting has both of these in spades. With regard to quality, Mr. Porter and his team delivered amazing work, on time. More importantly, I enjoyed working with him because I trusted that he had my best interest at heart...I know he did. To put it simply, he took care of me and wasn't interested in simply "selling" something to me. He will be coming back for all my projects because he and his team are good: good quality work and good work ethic. This is the guy you want...I can't say enough nice things about my experience with them.
