  I would give them negative stars if I could for being a bunch of thieving liars!!! I recently purchased a truck and the APU was not functioning. I took it to this Thermo King location to have it diagnosed. I dropped it off late one afternoon so they didn't start working on it until the following day which is completely understandable. I then get a call the following day. The person who called me told me they found a lot of corroded cable and and said the unit needed a few inline fuses. He then proceeded to tell me that the APU cover had rusted out screws that needed to be drilled out with approximately 2 hours of labor just for that ($420)!! I know for a fact it doesn't take any longer than a few minutes to get something like that done. He then proceeds to tell me they directly wired the starter in order to crank the engine and stated the started needed to be replaced because it started smoking. That was an additional $900 with labor included. He said as of now, I was approximately $2400 into the unit to "possibly" just get it started. I told him to immediately stop working on it and I would be on my way to pick it up. Upon arrival, he had his mechanic speak to me and I told him to show me exactly what they were going to repair. Of course the mechanic tried to make it sound worse than it actually was. He pointed some things out that would honestly take me a few minutes to repair. I told him to go ahead and put everything together and told them I would be taking the truck elsewhere. I was charged for 2 hours of labor plus other fees just to get the truck out of the shop. That was $470. I took my truck down the street to a family owned shop. The shop owner told me there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the starter but told me I did need a new alternator. He then ran new cables to the starter and alternator to make sure everything was free of corrosion and also replaced an inline fuse. A service was then conducted on the unit and both belts were replaced as well. The AC system was also checked for leaks and freon levels. All of that was done for HALF the price that Thermo King wanted to charge me for just guessing by throwing new parts on the unit. Absolutely atrocious and overpriced place. I will never take anything to this location. They will never have the luxury of robbing me again.
