  Since the day we moved into this 70s-era Southampton home, 27 years ago, I wanted the Taco Bell Windows wall gone, along with the shallow countertop it barely allowed but life gets in the way and it was never really a priority. Until one day I walked into Benicia Home Improvement Center and told Jeff to make it go away. Jeff came out, took some measurements and turned me over to designer Jennifer who was great fun to work with. Her ideas and suggestions were so spot-on to my vision that I was inspired to ask her what we could do with the "cupboard under the stairs" now that that Potter kid had moved out and she turned her magic onto that space too. The biggest thing that put the project off for so long was the question of whether or not the wall was load-bearing. We had several friends with a similar model house in Southampton and had seen many configurations of full wall, solid partial wall and half-height wall with support post but never no wall so Jeff coaxed Benicia architect Steve McKee out of near-retirement to put his stamp on the plans that said the wall could go and we were off and running. The work crews were some of the most polite men I'd ever met and each of them was there to do the best job possible. There was no "make it work" attitude just "do it right" dedication. They'd even carry in the Amazon packages and Instacart orders that would appear on the doorstep and every day they left the demolished kitchen cleaner than when we ever left it after cooking. My only regret is that I didn't stick my nose into Benicia Home Improvement Center 15 years ago to see what they could do.

  So glad we chose Jeff and his team for our bathrooms. So professional and such a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them for any home improvements!

  Started the process of our kitchen remodel. Jeff was the first company that provided an estimate that included everything we talked about. He actually listened. BHI worked with our budget, listened and addressed our concerns and Jen (in the office) has been very patient with all my craziness. This kitchen remodel had been more stressful than I could imagine and we haven't even started. Since deciding on BHI, the whole team at (including Albertson's Abbey Carpet & Floor) has been super nice, very helpful, flexible and patient. I can't wait to get started and have my new kitchen.
