  I hired this company for biohazard remediation involving rodent and insect contamination in both a condo and storage unit. The project was quoted based on detailed descriptions and photos. However, when the work began, only two technicians were sent, and they advised they were not biohazard technicians but water remediation technicians. They also indicated they had not been briefed on the scope of the job prior to arrival. During the visit, proper biohazard protocols were not followed. No appropriate PPE was used beyond basic gloves, standard household cleaning products were used instead of specialized biohazard cleaners, and items that had been cleaned were subsequently re-exposed to contaminated materials, resulting in cross-contamination. At one point, items were being assessed based on smell alone, which proved unreliable. The work completed during the visit was ultimately ineffective, and the space was left in a more disrupted and contaminated state than prior to the service, including a large non-restorable (NR) pile remaining in the living area and additional items left outside. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent, and key personnel were not aware of the project when the team attended. The scope, timeline, and execution did not reflect what had been discussed in advance. Select photos have been included to reflect the condition of the space following the service visit, including the large NR pile in the living area, the “clean” zone that was cross-contaminated with untreated items and boxes, and additional materials left outside. UPDATE: After escalating the matter to senior management, the situation was reviewed and a full refund was issued promptly. I do appreciate the responsiveness at that level in working toward a resolution. I have updated my rating to reflect how the matter was handled once it was brought to senior management’s attention. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company for projects involving biohazard or contamination-related work where proper handling, planning, and communication are critical.

  My unit had flodding/water damage from the unit above. Service master was prompt with initiation, communication, and overall service. I had a timeline to get the work completed before vacation and the work was completed. Stephanie and Brad were great a project managers and organized everything promptly. Clint, the drywaller, was exceptional. The repairs he compelted made the ceiling look better than it was before the damage. Rob and his team painted our ceiling promptly and quickly, making it look fresh. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with Service Master and its team. Highly recommend.

  Extremely pleased with the service provided. Rhiannon and Sean went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of. They covered all the bases not just physically but also financial and emotionally. I highly recommend their service.
