  $400 to change a light bulb! I wish I could say it was a pleasant experience at Anderson's Sierra Pipe. I've done business with them previously and it worked out fine. This is the first time I had service done and it will be the last time. My father passed away and we discovered that the water filtration system wasn't working. I called for an appointment to have it evaluated and an estimate for repairs. I was told that in just over a week, he would be in that area and could stop by. I do not live in Auburn so I authorized it. Several days after the appointment I hadn't heard from them, so Friday I called to find out what was the diagnosis and cost. The person who scheduled the appointment said that she did not know what the issue was, but she heard him talking to someone else about ordering a UV bulb. I asked her to please have the repair guy give me a call. He didn't. Several more days pass and I receive a call from the office. They said that he went out and installed the UV light bulb and that the bill came to just over $400. I didn't know what to say! I am not terribly skilled, but I have changed those bulbs before... it takes about 5 minutes. The bulb is expensive, I get that, but all I wanted was an evaluation of the system and an estimate to repair. I asked for the repair guy to please call me. A few days later he did call. Very nice, sounded like a professional. He said that he's a football coach and he's very busy Fridays. Okay... good for you! Now, I completely understand why you could not call me and give me an estimate. I asked if the $400 light bulb fixed the system. He stated that "No, you need a new head" and some stuff that goes inside the tank. Okay. When can that get done? Another week. Okay... it needs fixing, please repair it. A week goes by. Day 10 I call to find out what the results are. I was told: "Oh, he went home early that day and... looks like he did not reschedule it". We have an opening at the end of the month if you want to reschedule it. You have got to be kidding me! I can only take incompetence so much... I hired another company that showed up on time, gave me an estimate (charged less than his estimate) did the work in a professional manner and I hired him to do other plumbing work on the house. I am going to go on his site and give praise for a great job done. Now I have to wrestle this company over the $400 bill to install a light bulb. Really??

  They stock K-life, potassium salt!! Easy to find lots of plumbing/electricle parts and staff is very attentive to your questions.

  I have had nothing but great experiences with Sierra Pipe. I am in Real Estate and refer them whenever anyone needs well work or water filtration systems. They know their stuff, 100% honest and sale you what you need without trying to upsell into something you don't need. My well quit working so I called Sierra Pipe. I told them my pump was 38 years old and probably died. I told them to bring a new pump, pressure tank and all the other stuff to totally replace the old equipment. When they showed up they wanted to trouble shoot it before doing anything. The 1st thing was the fuses. They found I had a blown fuse. They replaced the fuse and everything started working again. They had the perfect opportunity to sell me $6500 worth of stuff and I would not have known any different. I have other great experiences with them and I will not go anywhere else because I trust them 100%
