  This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. The entire time I interacted with this company I felt like I was being pumped for money while simultaneously being sneered at and looked down upon. I felt like they didn’t fix anything or communicate at all while taking my money still. It’s like they smelt blood in the water when they figured out I didn’t have much experience with houses. I ended up going to Abalon instead, they were much more honest, actually fixed the problem, and did not treat me like I was dirt on their shoe. Trusting this company to fix my house was like paying to light my house on fire.

  Don’t get this company if you don’t want to wait for a year to restore your house. Another unfortunate part of it was that when they’re done their job, you have to call other company to fix your house again because their job wasn’t properly done and pay again or end up selling your house to avoid stress. Good luck!

  Courtney and the crew at Service Master were incredible during our flood. They were friendly and worked at a timely manner to get all items that were damaged and non-restorable out of our home to prevent mould or smell. I would highly recommend Courtney and his team all day long, he answered all my calls and responded quickly during a hectic summer with 70% of Edmonton Homes were affected. This was the second time dealing with Courtney from Service Master and his service was excellent. Thank you.

  Edited Oct 2026: I wanted to add to my review because the response from the company makes it seem like I'm just upset over how long it would in theory take to get the job completed. Believe me, they have never missed an opportunity to tell me how busy they are. And I am understanding of that. But our claim was opened in April. On the day of writing this, the *estimate* for the damage STILL has not been sent to insurance. Over the course of 4 months, they came out 3 separate times to do the same estimate of the same area. The last one being over a month ago. This is basic paperwork. I can't even hire someone else because the estimate is not done. I can't get answers over phone or email about the status of the estimate, let alone when work would be done (not that I have an ounce of faith in them actually doing the work). This is the level of incompetence I find infuriating. It's basic communication and the bare minimum and yet they can't even do that. It's so beyond evident that they do not care whatsoever if this job is completed and had I known that every interaction would be like ramming my head against a brick wall to get any information, I would have NEVER hired them. So beyond frustrated and disappointed with the "service" from this company. Our insurance company hired them initially to fix a roof. They contracted a roofing company (who was beyond awful to deal with too). The roofers took so long to come that the roof began leaking in early June and wasn't fixed until the beginning August. Of course, these guys won't do repair work with an actively leaking roof. So they have gutted our space down to the studs, with no insulation and it has been that way since July. Trying to get them to come back and fix it is an absolute joke. Sent them an email after waiting almost a month to at least get an idea of when they would fix it. No response. Sent them another saying we would find another contractor and what do you know, they do actually check their emails. A very prompt reply to pass the work off to someone else. If I could give zero stars, I would. What a joke when it comes to communication. Fixing our house is obviously not important whatsoever to them but they accepted the job. At the very least they could communicate. I understand they are busy with flooding but they also own a calendar and could have provided SOME idea of when they would come.

  Just a horrible, terrible company. I would never ever personally ever use these people. My landlord has had to call and freak put just to have some work done. It has taken over 3 months to have a bathroom (not even 100sq feet) 2 pieces of drywall 6 ceiling tiles and a small can of paint. Thats is all thats been done in over 3 months its been over 2 weeks waiting for the plumber to re install the shower RUN AWAY AS FAR AS YO8 CAN THIS COMPANY IS ABSOLUTLEY TEREIBLE
