  After dealing with a flooded basement due to excessive ground water, our insurance company sent out service master from Edmonton (an almost 3 hour drive to our house) for “emergency help”. We had expected a plumber to fix the issue as water was still actively flowing in but instead got a restoration company. Although they did a great job in cleaning up the flood and preventing any mold from forming, that was where the positive experience ended. Over the next weeks we had several contractors show up without prior notice to our house: people to assess our boiler and furnace, someone else to assess our deep freezes and a couple people that did a sub-par job in removing the wet drywall. Then all of a sudden we received notice from our insurance that the bill for all of this (mind you we never received a previous quote) was costing us $15,000 (this didn’t even include them removing the damaged and wet furniture and belongings). If someone had told us that a few of hours of cleaning up the basement and “assessing” appliances would cost this much we would have never agreed and had locals do it for about 1/10 of the price. We were very shocked, disappointed and frustrated. I’d highly recommend staying away from this company or at bare minimum demand a quote for every step of service they decide to perform.

  Been waiting for over 2months from when I originally arranged them as my contractor for a flood of my entire basement. I have been living with mold this entire time getting sick and when I originally hired them it was on the basis of them promising that they would get my mold issue fixed ASAP and my home that I would be a priority to them because of the severity of the damage. Two months later the only that has been done was dehumidifiers were place and picked up and I waa told today I would be waiting still for any work to be done for another month!!!!! Never had a roofer come and ever evaluate the damage from the hail in the entire time either to even provide an estimate and never received an estimate about basement abatement or repairs either in 3 months!!!!!
