  I went with the smart strand carpet throughout a bunch of areas in my new house, including stairs, on concrete and on typical subfloor. The carpet has been great so far for the first couple of weeks. However the installation was weird and gave me bad vibes all around. The install guy was named moe and had two other guys with him. They showed up demanding use of my entire driveway so they could park horizontal and we're not happy other contractors were there doing some final work. They were a subbed out side company, who I found out also did the removal a few weeks prior. They came super late when they did the removal when nobody was around (about 8-9pm) which I found very weird and too late to be working in someones home regardless of who was home. They left a load of staples in the floor, mainly on the stairs and a bunch of tack strips ripped up. I asked them to remove them prior to install which i was unable to confirm but given the fact the staple gun was out 5 minutes after they showed up, I highly doubt they removed them. The carpet install was fast, a little to fast, some edges are uneven and there is a ton of the little edge hairs hanging out everwhere around the baseboard and stairs. I would highly recommend Ryan as a salesman and the carpet type he chose for me, but I would definitely make sure the installation crew is not subbed out and have some quality assurance and better timing to stand behind.

  I never got to the point of install but that likely isnt a bad thing. I have been working with Ryan to re-floor my entire house. I reached out to get updated pricing, Ryan sent the pricing but it didnt make sense, I needed more information. Ryan is currently on leave so I called the store to ask another associate about breaking down the quote, the response I got was "you will need to talk to Ryan when he is back, he is off dealing with a family emergency. We are 100% comission and so we dont help eachother out otherwise it takes the comission away" WHAT?! Ok cool, now you dont get the stair carpet job, master carpet job or the house LVP job, 30k in revenue gone because of your internal politics. Nu-Floor is happy to take the business.

  In mid January I visited the South Calgary location and asked about a quote to get a small bedroom done. After coming out and measuring I never did get a response. Apparently the sales rep didn’t get my information right and couldn’t contact me.

  Our home was built in 2008, and moved in as the 3rd owners in 2018. The previous owner(s) must have had a large dog, as the hardwood floors were so scratch, but I chose to put money into a garage...have wanted to redo the floors since...it was finally time. We started the process after Thanksgiving 2025 and it started with West Valley Flooring because of amazing Google reviews for this business and in particular the sales rep- Ryan. We went into the store, specifically asking for Ryan and thankfully he was working. He was patient, informative, and 'not a typical sales person'!!!! Normally, I research 3-5 businesses, but this time we went to 1 additional store and decided to go straight back with Ryan at West Valley. He worked with us on our timing and kept us in the loop (mostly) the whole process. The installers though were top notch- Sunny and his team were extremely skilled, polite, professional, clean. We had such a fabulous experience (so far). We went with the glue down product on a mat and this by far was a great choice for us. We have no hesitancy to use them again!

  We had a great experience with Westvalley Carpet & Flooring. Ryan was fantastic to work with and helped us find flooring solutions for our new home in Priddis that fit our budget without compromising on quality. We went with the Rhino carpet and it has been absolutely worth the money—after a red wine spill, it came out with no problem at all, which truly impressed us. The installation was professional and well done, and when there was a minor miscommunication, they came back and fixed it at no charge. That level of service was really appreciated and speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. We would highly recommend Westvalley Carpet & Flooring to anyone looking for quality products and excellent service.
