I would strongly encourage anyone considering Let's Get Moving to carefully research their options before booking.
I chose this company despite their higher pricing because I needed a quick move after my home sold unexpectedly fast. My belongings were being moved into multiple storage units while I waited for possession of my new home. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
From the beginning, there appeared to be communication challenges with the moving crew, making it difficult to discuss concerns and instructions. After the move, numerous items were missing, including furniture bolts, hardware, couch feet, and TV stands. As a result, several pieces of furniture could not be reassembled.
I also received multiple calls from the storage facility regarding concerns related to my units. I was informed that items had been left outside overnight and that storage units had been left unlocked. In addition, two of my televisions were found damaged after one appeared to have fallen inside the storage unit, causing damage to another TV. A large curved monitor was also damaged after items were stacked on top of it.
Many pieces of furniture arrived damaged, ripped, broken, or unusable. I was advised by the company not to dispose of the damaged items because someone would be following up regarding my claim. After waiting more than a month without a resolution, I eventually had no choice but to replace much of my furniture and pay additional costs for disposal.
What began as a move turned into a significant financial burden. In addition to the moving costs, I incurred storage fees, disposal expenses, replacement furniture costs, and the cost of hiring additional movers. The entire situation has been incredibly stressful and time-consuming.
Customer service was also disappointing. Despite reporting the issues and being told someone would follow up, I did not receive a satisfactory resolution. To make matters worse, there were disputes regarding the return of my deposit when I understandably chose not to use the company for the second stage of my move.
Moving companies are entrusted with people's homes, memories, and valuable possessions. When those items are damaged or lost, the impact goes far beyond the cost of the move itself.
Based on my personal experience, I would not use Let's Get Moving again, nor would I recommend them to friends or family. I encourage anyone planning a move to thoroughly review both positive and negative reviews, ask detailed questions about fees, and carefully consider their options before making a decision.
