  Would give them 10 stars if I could. From the amazing Virtual Assistant to the even more amazing tech - Brian was informative, not pushy and very well versed on his technical skills as well as excellent communication skills. Tedford Garage Doors have a complete end to end service delivery and very accommodating. Fixed our problem very quickly and didn’t break the bank. Highly recommend them.

  We had a garage door that failed and called Tedford to help. First, the person on the phone was great, excellent communication skills and very helpful. When the scheduled technician, Jose, arrived right on schedule he did an excellent job going over the process/costs, completing the job for the exact price he discussed at the outset. I'd be happy to use Tedford again.

  Jose provided outstanding service from start to finish. He was incredibly punctual, friendly, and took the time to clearly explain everything to me both before and after the repair, which I really appreciated. It’s not every day you come across someone who is not only skilled at what they do but also genuinely cares about making sure you feel informed and comfortable throughout the process. The repair was handled efficiently and professionally, and the entire experience was seamless. I have already recommended Jose to my coworkers and would absolutely call him again in the future.   I called Tedford to service my garage doors. I had not used them before. I chose them based on reputation and reviews. Both Jason and his colleague were most helpful and had a friendly manner. They were quickly able to identify what the job required. The price I felt was reasonable for the work done. They also cleaned up well Would highly recommend this company.

  To preface this review, Tedford installed my garage as a subcontract from Harbour Doors (as they didn't have any installation staff). At this point, I wouldn't suggest either company. If a representative from Tedford reads this: no, I am not interested in anyone coming back out to fix everything that was improperly done. You had one shot, and you staff is clearly not encouraged or not interested in taking the time to do the job properly. I work as a mechanic and have done basic construction work in the past, so I'd like to this I made things as easy as possible for my door/rails/opener to be installed. I had mounted a 3/4" Sheet of plywood with the proper steel mounting rails very securely mounted to the joists, and had marked the joist placement (I have a lath ceiling so locating the joists can be tricky). Apparently taking the time to nicely mount the motor to the brackets I had neatly installed was too much to ask, so they just sent a lag bolt through the middle of the mount into the 3/4 ply, into the lath ceiling and....nothing structural? The joists are on either side of the bolts... The installers also ended up missing the joists with nearly every screw/ bolt for the ceiling rail mounting, so I'm fairly certain there's only one structural bolt per side holding the rails to the ceiling. The rails (on either side) were also cut with an angle grinder, so the cutting disk also ended up cutting through nearly the entirety of the structure of the bracket. As for the alignment of the rails and door...they did a pretty decent job on one side (about a 1/2" gap at the bottom leading up to a 3/4" gap at the top) , but the other side had a 1" gap at the bottom and nearly a 1.5" gap at the top. Initially I thought the door opening framing might not have been square/parallel, but after loosening all the hardware to slide the rails closer to the door opening, I realized that the installers had put the bolts through one bolt hole/slot in the two pieces of hardware and then just stopped once they ran out of slide adjustment in that particular slot. I removed the hardware, moved it one slot over and then rails actually gently slid into the position that it should have been in. Were the installers too pushed for time to undo this hardware are attempt to get the door more even? In short: Yes, my garage door/rails/opener were installed, no, it was not done well and I question how structural it truly is. I'll be spending my own time now redoing a lot of the mounting into the joists.
