Unfortunately, even though the employees tried to be as helpful as possible, United has a policy that does not allow employees to help customers connect their hitch or show them how a particular machine runs, all in order to avoid liability. My girlfriend has run other splitters without issue and felt uncertain how to use the machine, without some guidance, so did not start splitting until I got home from work and we lost out on half the value of the rental period. Won’t be renting from a company that does not prioritize customer over liability. **Addendum: Steven Touhey reached out and called to address the concerns and did provide a full refund. The effort was appreciated.
