- SSSue SinclairNov 14, 20251.0A Mr. Swirl plumber came to our home. He told us he couldn't fix our issue and said he hadn't seen our type of plumbing before (manufactuer is Riobel). He was quick to offer two options which were $1000 to change a cartidge which he said may not fix the problem or to cut into the wall through the adjoining bedroom and purchase a brand new plumbing stack for $3000. We got another company to come in the next day and the plumber fixed our issue in under two minutes with an alan key. We had a loose set screw. Mr. Swirl says they didn't to provide a short term solution but the second plumber also indicated that there was no stripping and they didn't foresee any other issues so obviously he didn't know what he was doing or he was trying to overcharge us for two solutions we didn't need. Mr. Swirl also said they would provide additional training to their plumber but that doesn't help us when we are out $150 for their call out fee where he could of fixed the problem if he knew what he was doing. Avoid this company.

- ANAstragale NewsNov 9, 20251.0I wish I could give less than one star. Their business model is simply to take advantage of people with urgent plumbing issues, and gouge them. They now use an AI receptionist (I have to say that it is scarily good), and up-front will charge $148 for an emergency call, which is fine. However when they show up (and in this case it was a rather straightforward main line obstruction), they don't charge by the hour, but will present you with an outrageously expensive quote, regardless of the time. Because you are already in for $150 at that stage, and that is is an emergency, it is easy to give in and sign the job order on the smart phone to get the job done. DON'T! It would be cheaper to go to a good hotel and spend the weekend and call a regular plumber to come on a weekday than to pay their outrageous rates. Plumbers are expensive, and that is fine. Urgent jobs incur a surcharge, and that is fine too. But this outfit is a predatory vulture who take advantage of people's desperation. Not a good business model, and move down the list for a local plumber, or just any other outfit than these guys. The plumbing technician they sent was nice and all, but they charged up-front $1,000 for a straightforward job that took less than an hour.
