    My experience with this company is nothing short of an ongoing disaster. I originally had bought a luxury vinyl tile product from this company and had an independent installer who failed at installing the product due to its fragility and also his lack of skill. As a result, I had no choice but to remove the partially installed flooring and refund my unused product to the company. I lost faith in the product and the installer. Because of this company’s sales willingness to help me fix this problem, I further placed my trust on hiring the company’s installer, who guaranteed that they know how to install every single product they sold and would be responsible if the end results had issues. Because of the experience I had with the first installer I was very paranoid about this but was ensured that the team is reputable and are hired to complete big scale jobs with housing developers such as Morning Star. I picked a second product (American based) which was sold to me as top tier quality and the best of the best… I placed my order on an expectation it would arrive in 2 weeks or so I was told… 6 weeks later, after numerous text messages and phone calls gone unanswered. I was told the shipment was missing !?!?!? I later checked with a different flooring company and found out that product was actually short on supply and there would be no inventory until further notice. Again, apologies and the standard response of sorry for the delay but not my fault, don’t know what to tell you… Therefore, I had to choose another product for the third time, which was delivered from Alberta and true enough made its way into my home. The installer himself was great guy and completed the floors. This was in June. However, there were large gaps in between the floor and the door frames due to the difference in thickness of my previous flooring. We had agreed that this could be covered up with the moldings which I provided but nonetheless it was left incomplete on the last day and the job was stated as done. I contacted the sale person to come take a look at the job and he agreed that this was not ok and would find me a solution. I was hopeful that this would work out and made partial payment for the services provided and was aiming to provide subsequent payments once the job was done. The last correspondence he replied to me was in June via text message, I tried calling the company for a call back to speak with the sales person or a manager and heard nothing. In July, I received invoices to be paid but no correspondence to my concerns. This is after several attempts of trying to reach out for some sort of resolution. Now, most recently, I have an email from the long missing sale rep saying how his accounting department is giving him a hard time because I have not given my last payment. Furthermore, he now claims he was just trying to help me out the whole time and how much break and discount they have given me and that the gaps between the floor and door frame is not their problem. I am now being threatened with having my balance sent to collections. First, I did appreciate fully the extent that you tried to help, BUT leaving my house incomplete for 8 weeks because of an ordering issue through your company the first time, that’s not on me. Leaving me with expectation that you were going to resolve a problem you committed to and now 3 months later you insist that this was not something that was part of the job is not ok. Then why did the you agree that this was not ok and needs to be fixed. Your email states baseboards were not part of the job, but I did indeed pay for baseboards to be done and it is on the invoice. It was not explained to me that “door jambs” are not part of the baseboard portion and how would I know that when I am not a flooring expert but your commitment was that the gaps would all be covered up. The gaps are thick enough to fit a finger through. Would Morningstar be satisfied with this if this was their project??
