⭐ 1-Star Review for Air Pros of Tucson If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m a senior woman living alone, and this has been one of the most frustrating, exhausting, and frankly infuriating experiences I’ve ever had with a service company. I didn’t even purchase the unit myself — the former homeowner bought it from Air Pros as a rebuilt system with a new motor, new parts, and a warranty. From the day I moved in, my AC never worked right. It never cooled below 88°, and it ran constantly. In March, I called Air Pros. Diego came out, blamed my filters, and said he’d return in two hours after it defrosted — and promised to bring me better filters from his truck. I waited all day. No call, no return. The next morning, I found him outside the unit without even letting me know he was coming. He had no filters, couldn’t even tell me which kind I needed, and then charged me $400, saying the problem was the filters I was using — even though I use top-quality ones for asthma and pet dander. For two months, the unit continued freezing up almost daily. I learned how to defrost it myself. I couldn’t afford another visit — they charge $195 just to show up — but by June, my home was hitting 100+ degrees inside. My thermostat literally said “HIGH,” and my phone was shutting down from the heat. I had to keep my pets in the shower just to cool them off. It was unbearable. The former owner kindly paid for the next visit, and Jeff came out. He walked in, took one look and said, “Well, of course it’s not working — someone removed all the bolts. Hot air’s just pouring in.” I had to explain that Diego had removed those bolts months earlier and never put them back. Then Jeff blamed my countertop ice maker, saying the exhaust fan was throwing heat on the thermostat. Then he blamed my refrigerator. Then he blamed the placement of the thermostat — even though Air Pros installed it. He finally went outside, came back, and said a faulty part leading to the motor was likely the cause. He replaced it and charged me another $195, but warned that if the motor itself was bad, I’d need to replace all the parts again. I asked if that $195 would go toward the motor if needed — he said no, and that everything usually fails together. No responsibility, no accountability. I asked him if he had filters like Diego promised. He said yes, but later came back saying he didn’t. I asked if he could show me what kind to buy — a photo, a name, anything — and he said, “Just go to Ace Hardware, they’ll know.” When I said, “But I don’t know what I’m looking for,” he literally dismissed me mid-sentence. Later, Diego offered to move the thermostat but said he’d have to charge me unless I let him drag wires visibly across the hallway. I agreed — anything to solve this — but he said he didn’t have any wire and would come back in an hour. I told him I had a 2:30 appointment and needed this done before 2. He never returned or contacted me. That night, he called the former owner, not me, and told her that he’d come by and fixed everything. Not only was that a lie — I wasn’t home and my house was locked — how could he fix the thermostat if he couldn’t get inside? At that point, I gave up and bought a mini-split AC unit for over $1,400 just to survive. The installer literally shook his head at what Air Pros had done — including a zip-tied PVC pipe, laying on bricks for drainage, which had fallen off. During Jeff’s visit, he showed me the loose pipe on the ground and blamed me, saying someone must’ve kicked it loose. More blame. More avoidance. I asked for a refund of the $400, the $195, the $135 the former owner paid, and for them to come remove the unit they installed. No one responded. No apology. Nothing. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and Air Pros didn’t even respond, which says everything you need to know. They treated me like a bother. They talked down to me. And worst of all — they never fixed the problem. Avoid Air Pros of Tucson. Especially if you’re a woman living alone. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Had a mini split that needed a repair. They provided a quote which included electrical work which was grossly overpriced (quoted $600). I told them I would like to proceed with the repairs for the unit but I might have my licensed/certified electrician make the electrical upgrades. I provided my cc info for them to order the ac repair parts. After having my electrician look at it, he quoted me $150. I followed up a week later to check the status and left a message. Took calling 3 days in a row and leaving messages each day that werent responded to in order to finally get someone. He now tells me they would only do the ac repairs if they could do the electrical upgrades as well. These people are shady and out to scam uninformed customers. UPDATE: Had another company repair the unit and Air Pro's incorrectly diagnosed the issues, adding additional components that werent necessary and missed another item that was faulty which werent hard to find (burned mark visible on the board).

My AC broke on Wednesday morning and a service tech was at my house within an hour of my call. The tech was able to fix my AC by late afternoon. I am very satisfied with the service and friendliness of this company. I will only use them from now on!
