Josh White tested our water and gave a fantastic demo — engaging, knowledgeable, and convincing. Were we a huge fan of a 3 hour demo, NO. Do you want a salesman in your house until 10pm NO. So. Red Flags. We were excited to move forward until we decided, the next day, not to proceed. That’s when the mask came off.
Josh became pushy and grossly unprofessional. After I called to cancel (and was listed on the contract as the primary contact), he then texted my husband. Bring out the red flag, man.
In addition to texting my husband, the general manager, John Vasquez, did the same thing — called my husband, speaking aggressively. My husband hung up and I proceeded with communication.
Trying to cancel through RainSoft was a circus: wrong phone numbers, misrouted calls, and being told I was calling “after hours” at 10 a.m. (while being told to call between 9–6… which I was). Total incompetence.
When I finally reached John Vasquez directly, he didn’t listen, didn’t help, and instead belittled me, told me we were a “waste of time,” and said he was “glad we weren’t their customer.” All I asked for was confirmation that our contract was canceled.
If you enjoy high-pressure sales, being talked down to, ignored, and insulted — this is the company for you.
If you value basic professionalism and respect, RUN.
Great demo. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not worth the "5-questions, free $25 gift card" that Home Depot provided.
