We scheduled HVAC system maintainence for our recently purchased home. Previous owners hadn't performed this for quite some time and it needed attention. Our service technician was excellent. He took photos of his findings and reviewed them with us. He presented options available to us in a fair and impartial manner. He was very knowledgeable about our specific unit. We chose to enhance our system for air quality improvement but did not feel pressured to do so. The cost was reasonable and the quality of service excellent making this a good value in our mind. Overall we were very pleased with the entire process and would recommend Collins Comfort Masters to family and friends.

Last week I requested a specific employee (Tanner)from this AC Company.I needed someone honest and good for 2,3and 4th opinion so my friends recommended Tanner;they had very good things to say about him so since the Co did not change for 2nd opinions I gave it a try.He came in by end of day which I was grateful that he still came.He was very diligent,polite and well mannered.Took is time and documented with pictures and readings from he had found wrong on the system.It was the best documented and executed diagnosis I had compared to the rest.I did not choose to go with Collin’s becouse of the price and becouse this has happened in a cooler part of year so I could shop around more.I was very happy with Tanner’s report and I was and still grateful that Collin’s honored my request.I will consider them in the future hopefully there is no need for it.Thank you Colllins,thank you Tanner

Technician found a leak on the water softener, quoted a cost for the repair, and completed the repair in a timely manner, and suggested a replacement for an aging unit of 13 years old. The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We use this company for our HVAC, water softener, reverse osmosis system, and water heater maintenance. I recommend their No Worries maintenance program for your preventative maintenance. We have been loyal customers for the past 6 years.

DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR HVAC REPLACEMENT OR WATER HEATER FLUSH
DISREGARD FOR SAFETY - i had a gas leak and it took them weeks to come out and resolve.
DID NOT HONOR CONTRACT - Did not provide all of the 80 photos specified in contract. (This was a main reason for why I chose them) Also, did not provide new concrete pad for HVAC which was included in contract. When I called to report, they sent someone out to inspect and he agreed old pad was small so would come again to provide new one.
DO NOT HONOR APPT TO ADDRESS FOLLOW UP ISSUES - When I called to inform them that no one showed up to do a gas leak inspection or to replace the concrete pad as scheduled they told me there was no such appt. I gave them the maintenance manager name and date booking was made (it was even documented on the invoice he left during inspection visit), yet there was no apology or urgency to send someone out ASAP. In fact, it has been three months and they still have not installed new pad. They told me they would let me know if I needed one. This was after Maintenance Manager already took a look at it and scheduled an appointment to come back.
PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES - Called to offer me a $39 water heater flush. I accepted and upon inspection they told me I needed a replacement and it would cost $4,600. I declined in order to get more quotes. Two other plumbers came to look at the water heater and BOTH said I did not need a replacement at this time.

I write this as a 25 year or so customer and a member of their service plan.
Collins has become all about the money and it is sad to see a once proud family run company become this way. We purchased our current units 8 years ago and they have been serviced by Collins every single year. Nearly every year there is an issue that needs to be fixed, which I understand happens in Arizona, but now I question every fix they have suggested. Recently our unit stopped working for a few hours so we had them come out to check it out. The tech told me that it would be $5600 for a new compressor (the part is under warranty but not labor). This seemed crazy high so we called another company to check it out. He came out and said there is nothing wrong with our compressor but the unit had been overcharged with coolant causing the compressor to not work. So since Collins is the only company to ever touch our AC, at some point it was overfilled causing this issue. This makes me question every part that we have ever purchased that was "needed".
Thousands of dollars spent with this company and I will never call them again.
