- NMNadia MaynesApr 29, 20221.0BEWARE!!! Pay very close attention to the construction of your home and take pictures of every phase of construction so you have something to look back to. Watch your design and other options to be sure you get the correct stuff during construction, Richmond won't and then will ignore you after closing when things are not correct. They will lie to your face, tell you things will be done, and still not do them. We were forced to close with several things still to be completed due to multiple closing delays. Seems to be how they do business these days. Delay closing so long you are forced to accept an unfinished home. Warranty request process is a joke, no response and no action on anything after almost 3 months of living in an unfinished home. Certainly didn't get everything we paid for and won't hold my breath for compensation. Just would like a completed house since Richmond was paid in full, shysters!!

The follow-up is very much lacking with Richmond after the fact. We’re still waiting on blue tape items to be fixed almost 5 months later. Very frustrating. Especially since things that we have been told were ordered from superintendent , per the vendor, have not been ordered. ** We're very pleased with our home here. Sure, there have been things here and there that need fixed, but they do get fixed and from having numerous friend that have built with various builders, it's completely normal. Nothing structural, plumbing, etc -- mainly smaller things. Geraldine was lovely to work with, Kimber the Superintendent has been very responsive to us. I think sometimes people do not always have a realistic expectation with mass production. As for the neighbors complaining about noise - lol. Yes, it's loud to do construction and I'm glad the workers play their music. They're out working in extreme temps and working very hard; have something they can enjoy. I may not always want to hear it, but they'll be done and moved on quickly. I wonder if that person every thought about neighbors feeling the same way when their house was built?
