We found a home we planned to purchase from this community, put in an offer, paid our $12,000 Ernest money. 48 hours later the deal fell through due to something that was completely out of our control. It took them almost a week to let us know they were even going to give us our Ernest money back less -$500 that they kept for whatever reason. Then I spent the next 30 days asking where our check was and checking our mail daily. We were initially told via email it was going to be mailed. I sent MULTIPLE emails asking for an update on where our money was and was completely ignored. After my 4th email request/demand for an update I received a phone call saying they were going to direct deposit the money. So they lied to me when they said they would send a check and now I am still waiting for a deposit.
This company is the absolute worst company I’ve ever come in contact with. Not only is the builder terrible (based off the other reviews) their customer service and communication is atrocious as best. I would steer clear of buying a home in this community specifically if you value your money or time because they absolutely do not. If you’re going to pay upwards to a million of your hard earned dollars on a home please do yourself and your family a favor and go elsewhere.

Terrible workmanship. Terrible follow through to get things fixed . It has been a nightmare. They will make you close whether your house is move in ready or not.(they made me close and I had to wait 4 days after before I could move in and the last 10 months has been a complete nightmare trying to get them to fix things from my move in)!!

I purchased 2 new Richmond’s in the past and attempted to buy a 3rd here. The build quality and the people working at corporate Richmond are a nightmare to deal with. A warning to anyone having issues, don’t close on your house if there are any outstanding issues. I had to fight for 2 years on items that were missing or broken and in need of repair when I closed and Richmond kept putting off because closing other houses is higher priority. They’ve really gone down hill over the years to the point they recently got bought out by a Japanese company. Do your research and have a lawyer explain your contract and do not listen to the sales people they are in the business of getting you to sign and collect not building a good product or making buying a good experience. If you go to arbitration keep in mind it’s over 2000 dollars a day. Again, do your research and don’t be pressured to sign a contract!

Since the closing of our home in lot 30 at this community. They have not done anything. They have promised to fix the issues so that we close the home. However, its been months and we have been trying to get ahold of them and the superintendent Justin but his not returning any calls. It always go though his voicemail. Attached on this review all the photos of the things they have not fix. Today, they were supposed to fix the drywall after waiting few months but someone came in and said he is here for the painting only. We told him we are expecting a stucco repair first before doing painting. So we told him okay. You can do some painting but not all of it because the drywall needs to be done first and we asked if we can talk to his boss so we understand each other better. He started talking on his phone and said he will talk first to there secretary so I waited for him to come back after 5mins he wasnt returning. I check his car and he was gone.
Since the closing they cannot even bring us the stopper for the bath tub that is missing. Or fix the towel holder on the bathroom. The paint is new but you can see that the painting job they hve done outside the house is terrible. The pavers dont have sands. The stone work is not even and have some broken stones. Scratch windows!!. Drywall holes everywhere in the stairs etc! You can view our home and see for yourself. Tape everywhere! Seems like they are just waiting until the warranty is done. Delaying everything. They dont care once you close. We will hire another inspector to inspect our home and will report them to the registry of contractors. We will also let other people know on social media regarding our experience with this builder so that no one have to deal with this stress that we are going through. Someone have to step up and bring awareness otherwise, they will continue screwing people. If you are one of the home owners on this community and having same issues with your home we urge you to do the same. If you are planning to buy a home on this community and builder please stay away. You are saving yourselves on a big trouble. We are so feed up with there broken promises and not communicating. Why we us the home owners have to deal with this crappy piece of home. This is supposed to be our comfort home but this home is giving us a lot of stress.
