- RRRL4 days ago1.0Water Heaters Only, Inc. offers quick service and said that it is the same charge weekends and holidays. They came out right away to replace a water heater that had started leaking. They charged $1699 for a 40 gallon gas water heater indicating that this was a discounted price. Total charge was $1813.92. Our technician said they could not change out the heater without restoration services due to water damage on the wall around the heater. He gave me a phone number to call for the services. He said that they were not part of the same company but that they would come out within the hour. I called and set for them to come out. After I while I checked in with our technician and he said the other guy was 15 minutes out, so they were in communication. The restoration guy quoted me a super high price with a lot more suspected damage and in-depth work than should have been necessary. He also wanted to talk to the insurance company directly and make sure that his guys did demo before the insurance adjustor came out. It did not feel above board. I had two other companies come out and they both used equipment to check for water damage and each quoted me about 10% of the amount of the person our technician had me call. When I had someone out to make the wall repair they let me know that the hot water line was not fulling connected by the installer and was dripping and that they fixed that.
