Had a plumber come out to clear my kitchen sink clog. Was told that their coupon for drain clearing wasn’t available anymore and that it would be $100. Plumber shows up with just a pair of pliers, no bucket or any other tools. Undoes my p trap and just yanks it down pouring grease water all over underneath my sink. Then proceeds to “try” and snake my line. Mean while he’s complaining the entire time because he doesn’t know what black grease water was (I was playing dumb watching him, I did plumbing for a few years). He then pulls the line out and says it should be good without even checking it. As he’s putting away his stuff away outside, I turned on the sink and it clogged again. He came back and went on and on talking about how this must be something “catastrophic” lol. I told the guy, dude the pipes are visible in an underground parking garage they were fine. Then at the end he charges me for a commercial cleaning even though I live at a home and tries to up sell me on camera service even though it’s black grease water? I told him I’ll just go and get a snake myself at Home Depot and he just kept repeating himself as I stood there in silence. I called another plumber out for cheaper and someone actually took the time to try and snake it and got it after a few tries. Don’t trust these people for snake service, especially if they say it’s something “catastrophic”. lol…lastly, the best part the guy didn’t even clean up anything and just wanted to get paid and left.

I'm very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail Nate showed. I felt like he cared for my home as if it was his own. This was the first time I used Rooter Ranger for my plumbing needs, but they will be my go to company from here on out. Great job.

December 31, 2025, St Petersburg, Florida: Awful. DO NOT USE ROOTER RANGER and particularly, DO NOT LET LEWIS TOUCH YOUR HOUSE! The technician, Lewis, was nice and worked hard, but he took two days and did an amateur-looking job with flexible pipes run off at all angles because he didn't want the expense of using 90 degree joints and broken soffit pieces and ridiculous gas lines. He also complained constantly that Rooter Ranger sent him on his own to do the job without help. I had to twist his arm to get him to secure any of the piping to the walls, and what he did do is sloppy and poorly done. He didn't even have a ladder! He borrowed 2 of mine! ...and screws.... Then, when he realized that the electrical outlet was full, he said, "We'll just use an extension cord" (outside in the weather?). I told him that was unacceptable and he said, "Well what do you want me to do? We don't DO electrical so you'll have to pay an electrician to come out, which will cost you $2000 to $3000!" I called an electrician. I had to threaten to cancel the job to get him to install a gas cut-off valve (which is necessary according to the installation manual). He said, "That's not part of the estimate," that he created. Finally his supervisor called him, and ordered him to install the valve. I called ROOTER RANGER three times to speak with Lewis' supervisor. The supervisor NEVER RETURNED MY CALL! He said, "If I included all that stuff, the estimate would have been over $5000 instead of $4400!" He asked to go through the soffit with the pipes and I told him, "Of course, put holes in it and run your pipes, but please make it neat and put it back when you're finished. He pried the soffit open without removing the nails or trim and broke it into pieces. Then, when finished, he tried to screw the broken pieces back into the soffit and cracked them to pieces. He never repaired his damage before he left. I guess I'll have to fix it. At one point, he said to my wife, "I'm not an installer; that's why it's taking so long!" Well, isn't that great?! As it is, I'm contacting ROOTER RANGER to complain and I'll probably get another plumbing company to come and inspect the work. I have NO confidence in ROOTER RANGER or Lewis! I need to know this thing is safely installed! He's a nice young guy, and is likeable, but he is NOT good at estimating or installing l hot water heaters! Pay more and get a quality job by a quality company with a quality technician! Do NOT go with ROOTER RANGER or LEWIS!

I was totally disappointed with my experience with RR. I'm a veteran and retired when I called RR the charge was going to be $39 to clear the bathroom sink. I ended up being charged $200 because the lead tech had to get on the roof and then said he couldn't clear it and had to send for a camera tech, but they had to wait for him and would be back. They left and were gone for way over an hour, maybe for lunch or a break. I was pissed! Then later I caught the lead service tech trying to clear it with a small plunger in the sink! I could have done that. I blew a cork and told him that I could've done that! I told him to take off the P-trap and clear it that way! The camera tech saw I was pissed and told him to do it that way. Afterwards I felt totally taken advantage of. I had my own business in sales and service and have never taken advantage of any veterans or seniors. I hated having to write that check since I'm on a fixed income. I've sat on this occurrence for so long and even thought of contacting 3 on your side. A very disappointed Army Veteran

Initially they seemed great ( the only reason for any stars) Responded quickly to a back up and cleared it, told us we needed 50 ft of sewer line replaced to keep it from happening again …for $25K… we did. THEN in my opinion they started playing on our fears .. telling me I needed to replace the bellied line under my garage and an additional 4 ft of line from my garage to the new line estimated at about another $14,000!!!! A 2nd opinion with a new camera inspection reveals this not to be urgent and the 4ft line replacement is not needed. BEWARE!!! I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS GREEDY COMPANY AGAIN!!
