I would provide a 0 star or negative star review given the opportunity.
My experience with Arizona Equipment Repair, also known as Oasis Pump, was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I am a resident of Kingman, AZ, and after my well failed, this company was the first to respond. What followed was a series of unprofessional, dishonest, and sub-standard actions that have left me with an even bigger and more expensive problem than I started with.
From the very beginning, communication was non-existent. The crew was consistently late, had mechanical issues with their own vehicles, and worked in short 2-4 hour bursts with multi-day breaks in between, leaving my family without water for 8 agonizing days. This was our emergency, but it was clear that other jobs were a higher priority for them.
The workmanship was so bad it's almost unbelievable. Within 24 hours of them "finishing," my well house flooded. My son-in-law witnessed them using old, used parts. They installed a control box on a single nail, left a pump unmounted on wooden blocks, and created a spiderweb of conduit that snakes through the drywall, making the well house unusable. Despite repeated requests, they never wrapped the plumbing, leaving it completely exposed to our freezing winters. To top it all off, the new control box is a sub-standard replacement and lacks a motor overload switch, a critical safety feature of the original equipment.
When I contacted the owner, Dan Schmidt, he came to my property and promised to "make it right." He did nothing of the sort. Two weeks went by before a crew returned, and their attempts to fix the issues were just as sloppy. They came back more than four times, and finally, around July 22nd, they declared themselves "done," without providing any final documentation or work orders.
Now, their office is demanding payment for work that is clearly incomplete and defective. I had another professional company review the work, and they confirmed the system is a mess. I am refusing to pay the balance because those funds will now be used to hire a competent well service to fix Oasis Pump's mistakes.
Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. Their work is a joke, their communication is awful, and their promises are empty. They will leave you with a bigger mess and demand payment for it.
