  A1 spent almost 5 hours at my home trying to upsell me a new door to replace my existing standard 2 car 7 foot high door! All that I needed to know can the existing door be tuned up (new springs, rollers, etc) to make it run smoothly enough to use an automatic opener. They quoted me $1600 for two springs and said there was no guarantee it would work with my existing opener. At that point I said I would just continue to operate the door manually. A1 then tried getting me on the phone with their product specialist to get a quote for a new door and opener. They spent 20 minutes on the phone to say it was about $5000 and I should act today because their quotes were only good for 30 days. After I refused this sales pitch, the A1 service guy tried to sell me a $1600 refurbishment package for an adjacent single stall door that works fine. I refused that “service” and just asked for my service call bill some 4.4 hours after A1’s arrival. I was originally quoted quoted a $59.95 service call by their service scheduler but now had to “bargain” the bill down $187.29 just to finally get their tech to finally leave my property! The bottom line is a wasted day and wasted money! A1 Garage Door makes used car and time share salesmen look like saints! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
