Paid over $6k for new kitchen cabinets. I was given attention until they swiped my credit card for last time. Was told cabinets would be ordered and arrive within 14 days.
----Over a month later, they arrive.
----Was told install would take 1 day, because its second nature them them
IT TOOK 5 DAYS!
-----Was quoted for granite countertops at $5500-$6500 installed
I paid for same exact countertops WITH special edges for $2000 INSTALLED from another company! WHAT A RIP-OFF WILLIAM JACKSON PRICES ARE
----One cabinet door was damaged upon delivery, was told "no problem we will order and replace it for free"
Two months later, NOTHING. I checked up with owner, and he forgot to order it.
---Keeps saying hes coming out to install the door since its arrived (25 days later)....
and NOTHING.
Once they take your $$ then your useless to them.
NEVER GOING BACK AND SHOULD OF JUST WENT WITH LOWES INSTEAD
Frequently Asked Questions About William Jackson Inc
Can You Explain the Role of a General Contractor in a Home Remodeling Project?
As a general contractor, we play a crucial role in overseeing your home remodeling project from start to finish. Our expertise extends beyond just being a kitchen and bath contractor remodeler - we're also responsible for managing the entire project, including hiring and supervising subcontractors and workers. As your main point of contact, we'll work closely with you to bring your vision to life. Our responsibilities also include ensuring that the project stays on schedule and meeting the highest standards of quality. In essence, we're a combination of logistics expert, team manager, and quality-control specialists all rolled into one.
Can You Walk Me Through Your Process for Providing an Estimate for a Kitchen and Bath Remodeling Project?
We strive to provide the most accurate pricing for your project by taking a thorough and detailed approach. Our process begins with a free, in-home consultation with one of our experienced designers. They'll work with you to develop a preliminary design concept, which we'll then refine during a second consultation at our showroom. Here, we'll select materials and finalize the design and scope of the project. This collaborative effort allows us to create a comprehensive estimate that's broken down to the finest detail, giving you a clear understanding of where your budget will be allocated and why. This transparent process also enables easy revisions if needed, ensuring that we can fine-tune the scope to meet your exact needs and preferences.
Do You Have the Necessary Licenses, Bonding, and Insurance to Ensure That Your Customers Are Protected During a Project?
Absolutely! At our company, we take the safety and security of our clients and their properties very seriously. We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured to give you peace of mind throughout the entire project. Additionally, we are registered with the relevant authorities, specifically the Board of Contractors (ROC# 287686), to ensure compliance with all local regulations and industry standards. This means that you can trust that your project will be completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, with minimal risk to your property or finances.
Can You Explain How You Handle Payments for Your Kitchen and Bath Remodeling Projects?
We understand that budgeting is an important part of any project, and we want to make sure our clients feel comfortable with our payment terms. For most kitchen and bath remodel projects, we require a phased payment schedule to ensure a smooth and timely completion. Typically, we ask for a 45% deposit at the start of the project, followed by another 45% payment at the midway point, and then a final 10% payment upon completion. However, for smaller projects, we may require full payment upfront, while larger home remodel projects may be broken down into more frequent, smaller payments. Our goal is to find a payment plan that works best for each client, so please let us know if you have any specific concerns or requests.
What Methods of Payment Are Available for Your Services, and Are There Any Additional Fees Associated With Using Certain Payment Options?
At our company, we strive to provide flexibility when it comes to payment options. We accept a variety of payment methods to make it easy for our clients to work with us. You can pay us via check, cash, or ACH (wire transfer) with no additional fees. We also accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. However, please note that there is a processing fee of 3% to 5% for credit card transactions. This fee is standard in the industry and helps us cover the costs associated with processing payments. We believe this range of payment options provides our clients with the convenience and flexibility they need to manage their project expenses.
What Is the Estimated Timeline for the Project?
The duration of our project varies from one job to another, depending on the scope of work involved. Our designer and project manager will work together to provide an estimated schedule before we begin, so you'll have a clear idea of what to expect. However, in construction, unexpected issues can arise that may impact the timeline. While we do request some flexibility in case of unforeseen delays, you can rest assured that we will keep you informed every step of the way as the project progresses.
Who Will Be My Primary Point of Contact During the Kitchen, Bath, or Home Remodel Process?
Your primary point of contact will be your project designer, who will guide you through the design and estimation process. Additionally, once you're under contract, you'll be assigned a project manager who will oversee the scheduling and build phase, working closely with your designer to ensure a seamless experience.
Who Is Responsible for Supplying Materials for the Project?
You have the flexibility to choose how involved you want to be in selecting materials. Some clients prefer to handle everything themselves, while others prefer to work with our designer and then let us handle procurement. We're happy to accommodate your comfort level and preferences.
Is There a Warranty on the Work Completed by William Jackson?
Yes, we offer a 2-year installation warranty, as required by the state. Additionally, each product and material comes with its own manufacturer's warranty. If you procure materials on your own, you'll need to make claims directly with the manufacturer. If you purchase materials through us, we're happy to assist you with any issues that may arise.
Are the Workers I'll See During the Project Employees or Sub-Contractors?
As a general contractor, most of our work is done in-house by our employees, and you'll likely see familiar faces throughout the project. We handle tasks such as demo, framing, cabinet installation, electrical, and plumbing work in-house. However, we do sub-contract certain tasks like drywall, large tile jobs, countertops, and custom glass work. By hiring us as your home remodeler, you don't have to worry about coordinating with multiple outside tradespeople – we're your one-stop shop for all your remodeling needs.
