- AIAnne IbarraSep 17, 20253.0If you are looking to buy a new build home please invest in a home inspection before closing. We did buy a Starlight home new build and made the mistake of not getting one done. I ended up getting an inspection after moving in because of a room that we were having issues with keeping cool. Inspector found 83 defects. They are currently being looked at and some are being repaired. Others we are getting push back and they are stating there is no issue (cooling issue & electrical). I hope this helps with the any reservations you may have about getting a home inspection if it is worth the money. It definitely is!
