  We are in the process of building a new home in Athens, AL with DR Horton and have been told Sims-Lohman in Huntsville is the contractor for the cabinets in the house we are building. Our house is scheduled to be complete within the next month or so. We want to have a custom cabinet made and installed in our laundry room and get pricing on pull out drawers for our kitchen cabinets & possibly other items, so I have been trying to contact your store for well over a month with NO success. Your website shows you are open 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon - Fri. I have called multiple times a day throughout the whole day and have NEVER been able to talk to a human. I have left two or three very detailed voicemails explaining what I am calling about, left my name & spelled it out and left my phone number and still no return calls. Reading these reviews about the quality of cabinets people have installed in their homes, the unprofessional ways your staff members talk to your customers, the same canned responses posted to the reviews and seeing your lack of response to my calls is very concerning. This has us wondering what quality of cabinets and the quality of professional service we will receive as we move through this process over the next month or so. The ONLY positive comments we saw were about Michael & Brandon, your service guys. People's hard earned money pays for your company to remain in business, so to read these reviews with the same theme of unprofessional interactions is very disheartening.

  I live in a new house in Huntsville, Alabama and after 3 years,a cabinet over the refrigerator was falling,even though I put only plastic containers in the cabinet. I contacted the manufacturer and the manufacturer contacted the installer. The installer,Sims-Lohman sent a technician,Brandon to my house to fix it. The appointment was made to visit 10am to 2pm,he called me before 10am and arrived in a few minutes. He looked at the cabinet and fixed it in about 35 minutes. He was courteous,kind and knowledgeable. While he was working,I looked up the customers’ reviews and a little bit disappointed,because the reviews weren’t as good as I expected. I don’t know about the company itself,however my experience with Brandon was excellent and that’s why I gave him 5 stars. Thank you Brandon and have a blessed rest of your day!!

  My wife and I spoke with the Sims Lohman about our cabinets and communicating with them has been rough to say the least. We were told that they’d send someone out for us today at 9:00 AM, but when I called for an ETA they didn’t remember us; and when they did find out who we were, they said it would be in an 11 ’o clock window. When I brought this up, the woman I spoke to (Kenille Barton) was rude and laughed at me for calling at 9:04 about a 9:00 appointment. The man who helped us with our warranty claim, Michael, provided excellent service! But as for the office, communication needs to be better.

  Kennielle with Sims-Lohman was extremely unprofessional the entire time. When voicing our concerns about the cabinets installed in our new home she constantly laughed at those concerns. We were told on the phone that someone would be coming to repair the cabinets Friday, February 2nd at 9 am. When calling Ms. Kennielle to ask if they were on their way, she proceeded to tell us they only had openings for 11 am and informed my husband that she had no record of there being an appointment being set up for us. When the people actually did show up, we were told they didn’t give them a phone number to call and tell us they were coming. Throughout this entire process, the only person I would give a 5 star rating is Michael. When repairing our cabinet, he answered our questions and explained everything exceptionally.

  We work with Sims Lohman in our home building company every day and they do a great job. I also had them install cabinet in my personal home. I have young children, pets, in laws, and half the other kids in the neighborhood all in my home everyday and the cabinets are holding up great. 7 months into living in my home and my toddler ripped a corner bead off the cabinets. She is pretty good at tearing things up and it took her some force. That is the only damage.
