- JCJoel CastilloAug 15, 20241.0Avoid at All Costs! We hired Lee Day with Day's Home Improvement LLC for a home renovation, and it was a complete nightmare. Despite promising to finish the job in 3 months, it dragged on for 5 months, and he couldn’t even complete a basic punch list. His subs only worked 7-10 days per month and consistently needed rework. We eventually let him go and finished the punch list ourselves. As the GC, Lee was never onsite, leaving us to manage and remind his subs about tasks. We also had to constantly remind them to clean up. Eventually, my wife and I just cleaned up after them, but the lack of dust control left our HVAC system clogged, forcing us to have it professionally cleaned. Throughout the project, we encountered major issues that Lee refused to take responsibility for: He failed to submit permits, leading to a city-issued "Stop Work Order." He caused a gas leak while installing a tankless water heater and asked us to lie to the city about it. He caused two leaks in the bathrooms he renovated, one of which he tried to hide by painting over the damage. He refused to fix the second leak, which damaged the sheetrock, insulation, and exhaust fan. Hire him at your own risk
