    Yesterday, on Dec 2nd, 2025 around 2:40 PM I went to the Geek Squad at the Markville location because my older laptop wasn’t connecting to Wi-Fi. My issue wasn’t resolved which is totally understandable since my laptop is old and I have no complaints about the issue not being resolved. My complaint here is of the employee behaviour of the 2nd employee. The first employee who helped me was professional, respectful, and did not charge me for checking the problem. His service was excellent. When he had to step away and passed my laptop to another employee, the situation changed. This second employee made me very uncomfortable. While my laptop was updating, I saw him repeatedly opening things on my device that did not seem related to the issue since both the employees mentioned that laptop has some updates and we have to wait for it to be updated to see what else can be done. So if a laptop is being updated I don’t see why he continuously needed to interact with my device, the first guy put my laptop on update and left it alone but this second employee continuously kept using it. I was sitting where I could only see the back of my laptop, and he was facing me from inside a small room. From that angle I could clearly see him looking at his phone several times and appearing to take pictures or notes. This was happening directly in front of me, and it raised serious concerns because my laptop contains sensitive personal information. I chose Geek Squad because I believed it would be the safest and most trustworthy place to bring my device. Instead, I left feeling uneasy about how my information was handled. I did not want to create a scene, but before leaving I asked whether my data was safe. Even after asking, I did not feel fully reassured, and once I got home I spent hours changing information and notifying the appropriate parties out of caution. Even then if something were to go wrong now, my first doubt will be directed towards this situation by default. Employees who work with customer devices that definitely will contain their personal info or sensitive data should not have their phones out or do anything that creates doubt about the security of client data. This needs to be taken seriously. The first employee was great, but the second interaction left me very disappointed and concerned about the data handling practices at this location.

    They charge alot, when you can get the same service for a cheaper price in other computer repair stores. Don't waste your money !!!

    Worst service. Don't go there. I have to visit them twice for phone screen protector replacement. 1st time after 40 minutes, they said our machine is broken. Went back after a few days and they installed screen protector, which have scratch/lines throughout the protector. As soon as i informed them, they took my phone and came back in 2 minutes and said it will go away after a few hours of use. Seriously!!! They think every one fool out there. Will not go back again there. ZERO star for technician attitude and service. Two technicans were laughing at me, including the one who wasted my 40 minutes for the first time. For me, It was more likely she was laughing on her own stupidity and inability to do her job what she was hired for. 🤣 🤣 🤣
