  They messed up my $3000 new computer with the promise of helping with with technical issues for the $22 per month. They lost a bunch of my data in the transfer, were unable to help me even use the basic search bar in my new computer which still doesn't work properly to find documents and files (mix that with some also being missing from the transfer being done wrong), hours on the phone with apple and geek squad etc etc and all this to say nothing to actually help me. Then they wouldn't even let me cancel my membership without paying out another year as apparently I was in a "contract" which I was not aware of. I signed up for tech support, for tech support, and when I couldn't get that, i wanted to cancel but they wouldn't allow it without paying. I am so upset by what happened and still don't have the technical support to fix my search bar and documents issue which persists even with the help of apple tech which helped much more than best buy but for a $3000 computer, this should work. Horrible experience and many lost files. I spent all this money on a new and upgraded computer for all these problems that were never fixed or addressed. Someone from the store was suppoesd to call me back in January to address cancelling this and not charging me, but they never did and I couldn't get through to anyone at the best buy store so I've been paying this $22 per month for the worst experience with a computer or tech support I've ever had. Now, I had cancelled it after the contract ended and they still charged me for another three months after that. The geek squad line at the store and the 1-800 number, both just refer me to call best buy, and the store doesn't have a phone number to call but said the store would call me. They have not followed up to fix any of it. So frustrating!

  Prices are somewhat competitive sometimes Service is terrible and techs don’t seem to know what they are doing. Turn around time is scary -somtimes 2-3wks for common problems. No thanks.

  I had a bad experience at Best Buy Geek Suad. I was promised a phone call the day after I dropped off my laptop and did not have a call I waited all day. You can't get a hold of the local store and when I went in I was treated poorly. I have been a loyal customer for many years. Very disappointed.

  Phoned and asked if they worked on Xbox One disk drives and was told, absolutely. Brought my Xbox in to a Geek squad location and they said they can't and never work on xbox's. Waste of time. Luckily the manager was able to reccomend a business that could help me out. Good on him, bad on the rest.
