  Super impressed with the service we got! Jaimey was amazing at helping us when my husbands phone was compromised and the bank needed GeekSquad to look over it. Fantastic service!

  I took my $2200 laptop to Geek Squad for repairs, expecting professional service. However, when I got it back, I discovered that my original 1TB SSD had been swapped out for a 128GB HDD without my consent. This is completely unacceptable. Geek Squad contracts third-party technicians for their repairs, and whoever worked on my laptop either made a critical mistake or deliberately swapped my drive. This kind of practice damages their reputation and betrays customer trust. If you’re considering purchasing Geek Squad protection, think twice. Based on my experience, I would never trust them with any electronic product again. Best Buy needs to take responsibility for the actions of their service partners and ensure that customers aren’t being scammed. --- This keeps your review persuasive and credible, making it more likely to be taken seriously.   Geek Squad Protection Plan is FALSE ADVERTISING, would not recommend wasting any money on this ever, it would be cheaper to pay to fix most types of damage than paying $27/month for the useless laptop coverage. The Best Buy Protection Plan blatantly states on the webpage "If we can’t fix it, we’ll replace it. When we can’t fix your device with manufacture authorized parts, we’ll replace it." No astrix (*) or anything indicating that isn't true. It is difficult to find the terms and conditions document (probably because they don't want you to) and it is not made known to you that you are basically signing that it doesn't cover being bent, crushed, or getting wet, so what does it cover? I don't know, but I've been paying for this plan since 2018 and now that my computer is broken (apparently falling from a deck is considered unsual... seems odd because many people have decks and use their computer outside...) it cannot be fixed... There are so many exclusions, please read them all before spending your money on this. It is also wildly impossible to find the right person to speak with on the phone about this, the agents from best buy and the agents from geek squad would send me back on forth and transfer me around to others who would not be abe to help or provide someone higher up to speak with until we went to the store to speak with a manager who also was not in charge of making this decision. Sometimes the phone wait times automator would say 2 hours wait, unacceptable

  Best Buy came through and I am very happy with the result with my computer. The biggest problem is not being able to call the store directly but having to deal with a call center that then sends emails to the store, which only reviews them once a day.
